December *** 2023 Took my vehicle for an oil change. After I came to get my car the mechanic told me he broke the handle for the hood release. I called after and the owner (****) said he refuses to take responsibility for the handle. I told him the handle worked every time for me and now they broke it so I asked who should take responsibility for him breaking my handle. He hung up on me.

On December */23 we did an oil change on a **** Audi **. We noticed when we were pulling the hood release handle it fell apart in our hand.
We mentioned to the customer that it needed to be replaced. After a few hours we received a phone call from a gentleman we presume that it was
Her father. He had mentioned that the drivers door has to be opened before you can use the hood release handle. That sounded kind of odd of course the door has to be opened otherwise you cant reach the handle. I would like to mention as well we had a customer here recently that brought his vehicle in to replace the hood release cable and handle  he drove a ****
Volkswagen ***** with only *****km .His hood release cable was broken we had to order a new cable and handle from the dealer the cost was under $** for parts.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: It is not true. I have been checking my oil every time I fill up. I can guarantee you the latch was working every time. I mention that the door needed to be open because I thought maybe that is how YOU broke it. You were rude to my daughter from the get go and immediately rude and defensive to me when I called. I was looking for an honest mechanic to take my vehicle and you lost hundreds and maybe thousands for a $** part. I would never accuse you of  it if it wasn't true nor would I go through the trouble to file a complaint. I have never filed a complaint in my life

    Sincerely,
