      I told Avalon I wanted a tight perm, repeatedly; while making the appointment, when I met the hairdresser, talked about my hair goal, telling him the rods used in my previous successful perm. I couldn't even finish my sentence. He told me, he knew what he was doing and to trust him. My hair was barely curlier than how it was prior to the perm. There were some more defined large curls on the top and that *** have been from me putting a towel on top of my head. I told him that it wasn't the perm I asked for. I showed him a pic. He said the perm in the pic worked because I had short hair. I showed him a pic of me with the same perm on long hair. He told me my hair was damaged and that's why I got what I got from him. I spent hundreds of dollars on products to help me figure out what to do with the awful perm. I also booked another perm at another salon and risked the potential of my hair falling off. I never had 2 perms within a few weeks of each other but I couldn't work with what I got. There were chunks that didn't take because of the stress. But overall, the 2nd perm was so much better and it showed that my hair was not damaged prior to the first perm; it could handle a tight perm. It was so healthy that 95% of my hair was able to handle the 2nd perm. I went back telling them, you said my hair was damaged and that's why the perm didn't work, but now I have proof that the perm I wanted was possible with my hair. Since it wasn't my fault, I want my money back. They refused and said they never give refunds. I didn't think that was an acceptable response for the stress and money they cost me from their inability to do what I asked and now, their inability to take accountability. They made excuses and redirect the blame. Telling me that they were offering an olive branch by letting me get products and other services. I already spent enough money on products because of them. I didn't want their service either. I just wanted my money back. I haven't gotten it.
