    First of all, the business address for Flaman Fitness that came up in the business name field on your website was the ******************** SE address, but the address of Flaman Fitness I dealt with is 1671-32 Ave NE, Calgary. It is the same company as both addresses are on my work order with the company. I purchased a treadmill from this company on Oct 12, 2019. My wife and I have used it for 4 years, and it has been an excellent treadmill. In the past few months, the treadmill has begun to get noisy, not a mechanical noise, but a loud plastic cracking-type noise. The company came to my home on Dec 11, 2023 to service the treadmill for the noise issue. The service technician tightened up the treadmill deck and frame bolts. The noise was gone. The noise has slowly started to return but that isn't the main issue I am primarily concerned about. There is a 30 day warranty on the service work, which expires on Jan 11, ****, some 5 days from now. Ever since the treadmill was serviced on Dec 11, 2023, my wife is now experiencing leg and hip pain. The treadmill feels much harder to walk and jog on since the service, which has led to the pain. I feel the harder deck surface too, but I don't experience pain, just some discomfort in my knees. This only begun after the treadmill was serviced; we had 4 years of excellent treadmill use with no pain or discomfort. When contacted about this, the technician simply said to go a Doctor, and that nothing he did would lead to the new pain and discomfort. Besides the rude, dismissive comment, if he came out again, he would charge us again. Moreover, the company also said if they came out and loosened the treadmill, we would need to sign something relieving them of responsibility. We are not treadmill experts. We simply want the treadmill to be useful to us without pain, as it had been for 4 years.

    Our service technician visited *********************** on December 11th to see what was wrong with the treadmill, he found the deck bolts were very loose as well as the frame bolts, he tightened these to manufacturers specifications, the noise disappeared, he got the customer to test the tread and he was happy with the service. After a few weeks the customer called up and complained that the deck was too hard now and was hurting his wife's knees, he then asked ************** to put it back the way it was, ************** refused to do this as this would be against the manufactures specs, it could cause the deck to fail leading to damage to the walking belt or even worse injure the customer. ************** advised that the customer may need to see a doctor about her knees as he was concerned for her health. They took offence at this and was in no way meant to be that way, **** ************** has 5 year's experience as a tech, he consulted with myself and I have over 20 years experience as a service technician and manager and I agree that it was in the best interests of the customer and safety to not loosen the deck/frame bolts as it was found when he was first there. We do not want to be liable for any damage to the treadmill or any injury sustained with a treadmill failure. However as a good will gesture we are more than happy to refund the customer the full amount of the service charge as they are not satisfied with our service.
