We met with *** from Hunter Tristan Design to discuss our project (the design of a house in ******, **) in March 2022, executed a contract at the end of March and sent payment for the first instalment via e-transfer over a couple of days in March and April, for a total of $***** with an email confirmation to *** on Apr. ***. *** said he would provide a receipt, though he did not. We had a virtual Zoom call to discuss the design and sent elevations of the site. Les agreed to provide preliminary plans in about two weeks and after a lack of communication I emailed on Apr. **** to ask about progress. We received a copy of initial plans from Les on May 10th and after reviewing, contacted Les to schedule a meeting to discuss. Followed up on May 25th as received no response (Les apologized for having been away), and had a Zoom meeting on May 29th. We met with Les in person on June 8th at a coffee shop as we wanted to discuss changes to the initial plans, which *** then committed to have to us in a couple of weeks again. I followed up on July **** as I had not heard from him, received apologies as he had apparently fallen behind with other projects, but said he would send them over that evening, which he did. After reviewing this iteration of the plans, I contacted *** to set up a meeting to discuss changes and we met in-person on July **** at the same coffee shop. He said he would have next round of changes ready in about a week or so. I followed up on August **** to see when we might expect to see the next version and received no response so followed up again on August ****. I sent emails on September ***, **** and November *** and never received any further response from *** to my emails or the multiple voice messages I had left him.I visited his office at the address listed on his website twice, both times the receptionist said he is not in and could not provide any information. As it stands we have paid *** $****+, have nothing in return, and are unable to reach him.
