  We recently had the pleasure of working with ** and **** from Fire Ant for the second time on a large-scale renovation project, and once again they exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, the team was a pleasure to work with and I cannot recommend them highly enough.****, the renovation designer, really took the time to listen to our needs and preferences, and created a beautiful design that perfectly matched our vision honestly it exceeded what we could even imagine. ***, the project manager, was also phenomenal. He was always on top of things and kept us informed throughout the entire project. He was also very patient with our questions and concerns, and always had an answer for us.The sub-trades that Fire Ant has relationships with were also top notch. They were courteous, professional, and respectful of our home. They really went above and beyond to ensure that the project was completed on time and on budget. The attention to detail was second to none, and the quality of the finish was absolutely outstanding.One thing that I really appreciated about working with Fire Ant was their direct line of communication via group text message. If we ever had any questions or concerns, we were able to reach out to them and get a quick response. This really helped to put our minds at ease and made the entire renovation process much less stressful.Overall, I could not be happier with the work that Fire Ant did on our home. They are a truly exceptional renovation and construction company, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to take on a large scale renovation project. Thank you so much to **, ****, ****, ***, and the entire Fire Ant team for making our renovation dreams a reality!

  Extremely dissatisfied with every aspect of this company! The only positive thing we can say is that ** is a cunning salesman. He said we are not inexpensive but you will be happy. They were contracted to demo and redo 2 bathrooms in our house. No plumbing moves, just tear out and replace. Very little work was done without incident or damage to our mid-century house:A few examples: During demo they were grinding down the tile floor cement without dust containment or PPE. Totally against OHS regulations and leaving cement dust all over the house. (note: we stopped the work at this point and talked with ********************* who promised us that this was an anomaly and that he would be in contact regularly to ensure everything was going well. He never spoke to us again)The drywall delivery guys took two big chunks out of the ceiling in the stairwell as well as from the stucco archway on our front porch. Repair of the ceilings was ghastly! They never mentioned the stucco damage.The work by trades was done poorly:A few examples:The demolition crew removed a toilet without undoing the securing bolts. This broke the ******, replacement of which will require removal of hardwood flooring and subfloor a disaster! The plumber installed an alcove bathtub without proper support and used screws which cracked the ******.The wallboarders damaged woodwork, used the wrong screws for both backerboard and cement board in the steam shower and bath. Plumbing valves (closed) were walled over. (no communication between trades, or proper oversight to prevent this sort of thing from happening) None of these issues were mentioned by Fire Ant until we brought them up. Those that they tried to fix were not done well. We have parted ways and are now left to clean up the mess!Yes, we could have continued to work with them to rectify these issues, but quite frankly we didnt trust them to do it well. We had already worked with them for months and the end was not in sight.

We understand that renovations are a big investment for our clients and renovations cause lots of upheaval and disruption let alone dust!I sincerely apologize for not setting clear enough expectations for how the project would run and how we get from the starting point to the completed project. We are proud to stand behind all of the work that we do and always rectify any mistakes that do occur. Unfortunately in tight spaces, knocks and dings do happen, we are committed to leaving every completed project with any damage repaired and our customers happy. The health and safety of our clients and our team is our top priority. We take any health and safety issues very seriously, as per our industry specific training, we document the event, investigate it and take corrective actions moving forward. We always appreciate our clients letting us know of any health and safety concerns they have and will then act accordingly.As President of the company, **s role in our ******************* is as the sales person on a select number of projects. (Time and project complexities dependent) Once a contract is signed, ** then passes the project on to the design and production team who run the project through to completion. ** is copied in on all email and text communication and holds weekly review meetings with ******************* to keep up to speed on all projects. He is also available to our clients at all times over the phone, on text, via email or in person upon request.In our 15 year history, we have never been asked to stop a project mid way through and not given the opportunity to complete the project. We did respect your wishes and were personally very disappointed that was how it turned out, especially after working closely with you for so long.Trust is at the core of every one of our projects. The trust that you have in us as your contractor to fulfill our promises as outlined in our contract and the trust that we have in you as clients. Due to your previous negative experiences with home renovation contractors, your trust in us may have been compromised from before we even started.
