      This has been the absolute worst experience in applying for a mortgage I've ever gone through. I've previously held mortgages on two different properties and with this third purchase I decided to use True North since they had the lowest rate. They are completely unorganized, their communication is horrible, when I asked one of the brokers to let me know what was going on with my application so I could get my own things organized, I got rude responses to the point I needed to change broker agents. They don't disclose everything needed from the beginning (which is literally their job, if I wanted to do all the digging i wouldn't be going through a broker, I'd do it myself), They say that you're approved (not just pre-approved) so then you waive your financing conditions only to find out a week before closing they send your lawyer amendments with more requests. The lenders they use just decide last minute to amend your agreement and make you race around to appease them, or they won't follow through with your funding. This was a complete nightmare and so much more stressful than any mortgage applications/approvals should have ever been. It was not worth saving the .5% interest rate in the end.I would never recommend this Brokerage to anyone in the future. It's just not worth the headaches. Unfortunately, because i didn't have time to shop around a week before my closing I was basically stuck with them, or I would have had to back out of the house purchase and risk a fine from the sellers - but I will definitely not be re-mortgaging with them in the future.
