    I negotiated a deal with Calgary Honda in October of 201* for the purchase of a 20** Honda Ridgeline. Included in the deal and sales contract was free oil changes for ** years as part of the total sale price. Today I attempted to book an oil change and w told that Calgary Honda would no longer honour the contract and would not provide the oil change.

    Please find attached * photos. One is the entire contract page the second is a closeup of the list of items included in the sale price. 

    At the time of the negotiations, the sales manager wrote-up a contract on a blank sheet of paper. This hand written contract included a list of items included in the sale price. I accepted the contract, we both signed it and I paid a $******** deposit.. It was then transferred to the finance department.

    When I returned to pick up the vehicle, there were more papers for me to sign. Included among them, was a printed copy of the hand written contract I had signed earlier. I was asked to sign the printed version, I did the without reviewing assuming it was just a transcription from handwriting to print. That was a mistake, because significant alterations had been made on the printed version. A 3-year security program had been inserted at a price of $******.

    When I discovered the additional charges, I challenged them and was told by the sales manager that if I didn't like it I could back out of the deal, but I would forfeit my $******** deposit. After a little over a year and with the help of the BBB, I did secure a refund. Now again Calgary Honda is trying to cheat me by not honouring the oil change package agreement.

    On the itemized list, you can see Oil Change Package. It is the *** item from the top of the list. Package refers to the **-year oil free change offer. At that time, Calgary Honda was offering the 10-year free oil change package as a sales incentive. If you ask them for clarification, and they provide an honest answer, they will clarify that for you. It was not just a special deal for me, just an incentive they offered to me.

    When I spoke to Calgary Honda about this, their representative told me that an email was sent in December to all customers who receive the oil change package as part of their sales agreement, stating that the agreement would no longer be honoured. I received no such email from Calgary Honda. To verify this, I did a search of all my mailboxes and although may emails from Calgary Hondas came up, the email in question was not among them.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, the time delay caused by Calgary Honda refusing to honour our sales agreement resulted in me having to service my vehicle at another authorized Honda dealer. This resulted in addition expense to me. I therefore request that Calgary Honda extend the oil change agreement by one additional oil change to offset the expense caused by them.
