    Hi Tracy,

This was an insurance contract.  We received the information from you from your insurance and completed the work as specified.

You did not have drip edge previously and insurance did not cover drip edge to be added.

Once again, I am sorry you are experiencing this.  I have not seen a quote from Jim for the drip edge install but I will touch base with him today.

I am rejecting this response because: drip edge or no drip edge the roof should not be compromised within a two and a half year time period and should therefore be covered under your warranty. If we had no drip edge on the old roof and no problem with the old roof it seems this is a problem with the roof installed by your company.

    Sincerely,

I have included the Warranty information from the Hubbard website as I have noticed there is nothing stated directly on the paperwork we have received. Almost everything that we got was via email.  I have nothing directly from insurance as **** from Hubbard was communicating directly with my insurance company who are located outside of Alberta. As for the companies response, I am not sure why it being an insurance claim is relevant, other than them saying insurance would not have paid for the drip edge because we did not have one previously.  Worth noting that we did agree to the drip edge verbally with Cody and it somehow got overlooked. I do however stand by my position that a roof, that is done to code, should not fail or be compromised within such a short period of time.

If you require anything further please do not hesitate to reach out.

    Best Regards,

    Hi *****,

This was an insurance contract.  We received the information from you from your insurance and completed the work as specified.
You did not have drip edge previously and insurance did not cover drip edge to be added.  This would have been an extra charge that was not approved.

I am rejecting this response because:

As previously stated, it is our position that a roof, that has been done to code, should not fail to do the job it was designed for within a *** year period of time.  I also am unsure of what bearing this being an insurance job has on this. We still stand by our opinion that this should be repaired under warranty at no cost to us.

    Sincerely,

    Good Morning,

As previously stated, this was an insurance claim.  Insurance only covers damages to items you insured.

There was no drip edge previous to the storm hitting your house, insurance did not cover drip edge to be supplied and installed. You did not pay to have this item added to your scope of work and it was not installed.

If you would like to move forward with the drip edge installation please contact the office.

    Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because: like you said, I did not have a drip edge previously installed from the home builder and had no known issues from the time the house was built (201******) until the roof replacement done by your company.  So it stands to reason that, if done correctly and to code, I should not be having issues within such a short time period.  Unless there were previous issues and your company proceeded to install new shingles on rotting boards without notifying me of any issues.

    Sincerely,
