    ******* from Off Our Rockers has been a God send. Being a working mum, trying to juggle work, kids, and caring for an elderly parent with dementia wanting to stay in her own home, felt like being in a constant state of drowning! ******* throws you a life raft to stop you drowning. She is reliable, and has a gift for dealing with the elderly. She truly enjoys them, for her this is a calling not just a job. She has changed our lives for the better and we are deeply grateful for her expertise and dedication.

    ******* and her staff worked with our family for 2 years. It was a very very difficult two years. Aging parents require much more support to ensure they have an excellent life. ******* took our mom on outings (that were targeted towards her interests); art exhibits, Stations of the Cross, walks along the river, park settings so mom could enjoy watching pets and kids. Additionally, ******* would take mom to appointments (weekly hair appts), Dentist appt. Occasionally, ******* came to medical appointment to assist with things such as mobility. At first our needs were minimal and ******* was there to make moms life full and fun. As our moms needs increased ******* and her team were there. They would be company, sit with her in hospital, ensure she had assistance with eating (sometimes just company so mom would eat). We have many pictures of mom going out for ice cream! ******* and her team would ensure the activities, crafts, and outings were interests of moms and appropriate for her current stage of dementia (crafts, garden pots, 3D puzzles, games such as Yahtzee). I cannot express how much ******* and her team added quality to moms life and ours. After each shift I would receive an update. I would contact ******* with changes I would see and we would discuss how best to ensure mom had great life experiences. Mom had dementia and it is a challenging disease. ******* and her team added quality to moms life. We are a small family and could not be with her 24 hours a day. Care facilities only meet basic care needs. ******* and her team add "the extra" to ensure families and clients have the best possible journey through this difficult time. I was so blessed to meet and have ******* to walk along side with me during this time. Her kindness, humour, and knowledge were a welcomed blessing.
