    We had our son join the club to play soccer. They took the payment and later they said that we are going to put your son into training because we do not have enough players. We told them to just refund our money as our son is an advanced player. These people charged us $100 and refunded us for no reason. They were not able to provide a service and why should we be penalized for it. Absolute atrocity. 1. They cancelled the program 2. We do not want training for our as that's not what we signed our child for.3. If you cannot provide the services then why would you penalize us.The resolution would be a full refund of $790

    The outdoor season runs from April 22 - September 15, 2024 and is broken into two sub-seasons: 

    Spring (Sp):  CMSA League - April 22 - July ~21

     Summer (Su): July - Sept Training + CMSA Fall series - September 13 - 15

    As posted on the website,

     CMSA / Competitive: "...Northside cannot and will not guarantee that teams will be entered for every age/gender group and at every level of play. This depends on registration numbers as well as sufficient volunteer team officials.  If there are insufficient registrants for an age/gender group, the player will be transferred to the *** Grassroots / Training program..."

     Grassroots *************** ************ cannot and will not guarantee that teams will be entered for every age/gender group and at every location as this depends on registration numbers.  If there are insufficient players, the club reserves the right to combine age groups and/or move players to a different location.  The refund policy below applies as *** still incurs administrative costs..."

     Refund ******************** ******** has a strict refund policy.  Refunds will be issued, less $100.00/player of the registration fee..."  The credit card & gateway company charges a percentage & flat fees both when registering and refunding.  The registration software also records a fee immediately.  

    The website clearly states the refund policy and the terms & conditions for insufficient registrants. 

    An email was sent to the participant advising them that there were insufficient players to create a CMSA Weekly team (training once a week + game).  *** offered the following options:

    1. Transfer to the Training program and refund the difference. 

    2. Switch to CMSA Sp/Su Semi-Weekly (training twice a week + game) and be charged the difference.

    3. Switch to CMSA Spring (Sp) Semi-Weekly and be refunded the difference.    

    The registrant chose to withdraw from the program.  A refund was processed less the administrative fee to cover the costs that *** incurs as a non-profit organization.

    I am rejecting this response because: 

    1.My son is an advanced player and does not require training. 

    2. So if you are not able to provide the service then why are you charging the cancellation fee.

    3. You have cancelled the event and not us so why should we pay a cancellation fees.

    this seems very fishy that you can book everyone and just say that there are not enough people to play and you wil charge everyone just because you as a company couldnt gather enough people.

    5. This company is cheating people and as we see and at the end if service is not provided and the company cancels then why should the customers pay?
