On April 29, 2024, we signed a contract with Firefly Solar to install solar panels and a new electrical panel in and on my home. They have been funded $12,861 in advanced funds through Financeit, but still have not installed any product (I.e. solar panels or upgraded electrical panel) despite us providing all signatures for permits and meters. I have had to pay that loan back and still nothing to show from it. They are now not responding to emails, and phone calls, and it has been 6 1/2 months since the contract was signed, despite Firefly stating the whole process only takes 3-4 months. The last returned calls were on October 23, stating they were waiting on approval from ****** to install the new panel. I called them last week again to get a status update and have not received any response. Fortis was on-site months ago to install the bidirectional meter to feed electricity back into the grid. I believe that I may have been scammed as my neighbor 4 doors down the street now has Solar from a different company and paid nothing up front. To add more insult to this situation, they came back a second time in July and tried to resign us again, at which time the co-founder, contacted me, assured that the project would go through, but is now November and nothing is progressing. Meet with **** ***** for a solar panel presentation Oct ******* After talking and questions and my wife and I being told we can cancel anytime up until the panels get installed. I signed then after he left my was was concerned about him not really answering our questions and not being very knowledgeable. I wrote him Oct 12 to cancel an appointment with one of the techs to look in my attic and electric box. He then called me to get me to keep the appointment so there won't be any delays and if I still wanted to cancel my contact after that I still could it wouldn't cost me anything.Oct 12 I emailed **** again questioning his usage calculations as I went through my Enmax account and my usage was way higher then the solar panels I was quoted. **** responded if he could have the link to wear I found that information. He actually had my enmax bill to which he calculated my usage but was off by almost 2000kwh then he emailed me what the quoted kwh the panels would produce and its still off by 1000kwh.I don't feel he knows enough for me to trust the company.oct 26 I emailed to cancel my contract.Oct 27 my salesperson called me and wouldn't listen to me and wouldn't let me cancel it, after explaining to him my I didn't want to get into my life issues with him I wanted to cancel or I'd hang up the phone. He then said I'll now get charged then for fortis ab permits they pulled and threatened I'd get charged for everything and still questioned my reasoning to where I hung up the ******** wife was sitting beside me and was very upset hearing everything as well and **** not caring and kept pushing us to keep it even after explaining some reasons and how I wasn't going into my lifes problems. That's when **** said if its a money thing to pay for the energuy then it's going to cost more from firefly if you cancel and that's when I hung up.
