YYC Road Rescue damaged my new tire while towing my car. I informed them and they agreed to pay compensation for the damage. as per the company, I sent receipt of my expenses and I was told that the refund is in process, it will take 2 weeks. I waited for two weeks but did not receive any money. Then called to the company for status of the refund. The company representative yelled me and hung up. Later on, I followed up on text message but received no response. I request you help me to recover my damage loss CAD$517.11. I paid $335.99 for new tire and $181.12 for towing service.

Car accident Oct 13, where my car was seriously damaged when another car ran a red light. A company called YYC RESCUE showed up. I do not know who would have called this company instead of *** or more reputable. They took my car and held it for 5 days (Oct *****). My insurance adjuster and myself called many times and nobody would answer as we needed the car moved to another location to get appraised. When *** finally took a call after 5 attempts on Oct 18, he said there was delays from another party (ELC) Yet, the adjuster was told by this other party, *** at YYCROAD RESCUE was not responding. I have the emails from the adjuster and call logs from myself and a good friend, who was helping to get this resolved. In speaking with the adjuster, she said the cost of $3,200 was exorbitant. A picture attached details charges, many of which did not occur. When you call the number on the business card (see pic), a different name DNA ROAD RESCUE is on the answering service. I cannot get the pics down to size to attach. I can send hard copy. However the fees they charged are below:Blocker vehicle $350 Cleanup $272.96 KMs $81 Wait time $411.72 Traffic control $350 Admin fee $375.56 Gate fee $350 Storage $112.56/day x 5 days

I want to assure you that we have been actively answering our calls and working diligently to manage all files as quickly as possible. The charges outlined in your invoice were determined based on what we deemed necessary, and these were approved by the insurance.

If there were any concerns regarding these charges, the insurance would have either declined the invoice or made adjustments to align with their approved pricing. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

If you have any further questions or need additional clarification, please do not hesitate to reach out.

I am rejecting this response because:

    Hello,

YYC road rescue did not respond quickly. My insurance company  did not hear from him until October 18th because they continued to ignored phone calls and emails (my car went into their lot on October 13th) and I can send a screen shot of the email thread from my adjuster to prove they were waiting to hear from him (please see attached photos). My insurance company wanted to get my car out of there lot **** but that did not happen due to his lack of professionalism. That is unacceptable when his phone number is on the business card.

Those charges are unacceptable. YYC road rescue knows that the insurance company cannot pay to charges because that would have delayed the process even longer. They did not have a blocker vehicle and they did not do any traffic control.

Towing companies like YYC Road Rescue have been all over the Calgary News because they are scamming people.

Also, again on the blocker vehicle and traffic control, $350 each for redundant service on invoice.  A friend, who is manager at ************************ said that is a double of what it should be when I consulted them on this.

Blocker vehicle is part of traffic control so you cant charge it separately and call it an extra service when they even provided that service.

    Thank you,

    Taylor

    Sincerely,

    ****** Cyca
