    I found ******** from Inspired By U through a Kijiji add back in March 2022 and asked for a quote to re-upholster my Outdoor Furniture seat cushions (4 chairs with 4 pieces each). She provided me a quote and estimated the work could be completed in approximately 3 weeks (see Kijiji screen shots). I paid her a deposit of $400 on March 29th and dropped off my cushions to her house on March 31st. I did not hear anything back for a few weeks, so I checked on May 2nd and she told me she had ***** and had not been able to work, and asked for another $100 to help cover her electricity expenses and to pay for the materials. I agreed, even though I was skeptical and eTransfered her on May 18th. As you can see from the texts in the ******** document, there has been nothing but excuses, claiming to have finished a cushion and working on my cushions but not one picture of proof that any work had been done. It is now September 8th over 5 months since I dropped of my cushions and the only thing I have received is excuses. I really wish I had seen the other complaint on BBB before I paid her a deposit since the EXACT SAME THING has happened to me. I want to warn others that this is how she conducts business and its best to find a reputable Upholster. I would like to get my cushions back as well as the $500 deposit that I paid her to purchase materials (or ALL of the materials she quoted me for: Sunbrella fabric, new foam, and zippers). As you can see from the texts, I have reached out three times since August 18th and have not had a response or any communication from her since August 10th.

I'm asking for one last chance fir us to set a date and I will finish them please.

    I am rejecting this response because: I went through all of the texts and I have given ******** 13 extensions since March 2022!!! I cannot believe anything she says and I am not waiting any longer for her to "finish" the cushions because she has yet to show me a picture of even one piece of one cushion set completed. I am remaining with my first resolution which is to pick up my cushions and get ALL of the materials (Sunbrella fabric (show me the receipt to prove it's Sunbrella), Foam, Zippers) or the $500 I paid in advance for the materials and part of the labor.

    I will be back in the city on Sept17 I will show you pictures at that time. The work has already been half completed so if ******* refuses to allowvme to finish what's already been half completed I will also be deducting labour costs from what's been finished so far. And will provide whatever amount of fabric is needed to complete the job.

    I am rejecting this response because: I have been asking for pictures for over 5 months now, and all of a sudden the cushions are half done but NOT ONE picture has been sent. I would think that would be ********'s FIRST thing she would want to do to show me she has actually completed a single piece of the cushion sets. So it is hard for me to believe that she has completed anything. IF I ACTUALLY get a picture on September 17th showing a completed cushion, then I will consider accepting her offer to finish the job - as long as they will be finished within one week (September 24th). If no picture is sent on the 17th, then I would like to know when I can pick everything up. FYI, I have already paid ******** $400 for materials and $100 for labor as outlined in the texts.
