I recently leased a 20** *** ***** **** with cavalcade auto from a employee named ****** ******* of cavalcade auto within * days I realized the truck had issues such as stuttering lack of acceleration and hesitation, I reported it to them along with a dealership or two at the time, go by and I go back to multiple dealerships to have it diagnosed again both dodge dealerships said it was fine, I took it to a aftermarket warranty mechanic as they sold me ******* warranty for around ********** they found metal in the engine and tons of parts were work , they claimed to do an amvic inspection witch clearly wasnt the case now here I am owing ******$ on a truck thats only worth ***$ market value , and I am being told that cavalcade will not cover even a *$ for repairs I am left with ******$ out of pocket at ******************************************************* December with work slowing down they have tried to deny and argue everything unfortunately I have had to take this to a lawyer to get further please do not use these scam artists! They have no reason as to why they wont cover anything as the truck is new and I just got it from them they should be paying the full cost as they sold me a faulty truck from day one as reported, also to mention the warranty they sold me was only covering ****$ as its a lack warranty meaning I am left with ******$ out of pocket at ** years old trying to build credit and support myselfBusiness Response

We leased a 201* Dodge Ram to ****** ******* ******** on January **,2024. In reviewing the file ****** has been a good customer. A couple of **** but always took care of immediately and excellent communication with our customer service team. We did not here of any problems with the truck until October ****, 2024 where the customer called us advising he needed a new engine for his truck. ***** ******, the Sales Manager at Cavalcade spoke with him and advised he had ******* Warranty with a $****/claim amount available. Teegan advised he was told a used engine was $**** and a new engine was $*****. ***** advised ****** that the extra cost is his responsibility. The truck has been out for almost ** months and he had put on ****** kms in this time. The average kms/year is about ************ kms so there has been over * years worth of driving done within a short ** month period of time. ****** **** up on ***** went told we were not able to cover the difference as that would be his cost. As a side note the cost to the customer on his Lubrico Warranty was $**** for the ****************************************** complaint. Our suggestion is getting a used engine for the replacement as the difference is only approx $****. To replace with a new engine on a 2017 truck does not make sense and the cost is almost twice as much.

The nsfs that had ever occurred were due to cavalcade auto not adding the correct card on file when mentioned so no fault on my end as well thanks bbb.Business Response

again, not sure what we can do on our end. its been ** months and ********. ******* is going to take care of the majority of used engine cost. our suggestion is to take them up on it. if the customer needs and extension for one or * months to help out with the rest of the cost we certainly can do that. just let us know.

I never signed anything stating in the lease that the truck had to be driven at a certain amount of kilometres the dealer is avoiding taking responsibility for the lemon thy can either pay * months of truck payments witch equals **% of the cost me the customer paid out of pocket or they can pay in full to me when they are sent a demand letter by my lawyer those are there two options Im being more then fair ******* only paid ****$ I was left with ******$ far more then any customer should be covering they are trying to ruin me and my business and thy have been no help they either pay the next * months of payments so I can catch up on my personal bills again that I have fallen behind due to this or they can receive a demand letter stating to pay in full or be took to court .Customer Answer

Vehicle was super very well maintained inside and out oil changes on time and sooner very tooken care of issues started the day I left the shop and were reported by phone same day and were reported all year I have more quotes and estimates from other dealers if I have to plaster all my proof on here I will , but regardless me and the BBB have already caught you in a lie stating you never had any notice so before you lie further accept one of the two options given or I shall proceed thanks .Customer Answer

as stated earlier, there are excessive kms put on this truck in a short time. this is not the fault of the seller. the truck needs an engine replaced. customer can get a used one installed for $****. Lubrico will take care of $**** of the cost. Although not required to Cavalcade will step up and contribute $**** for the cost on the used replacement to help out . Customer is wanting a brand new engine. The truck didnt come with a brand new engine. If ****** wants to pay for the cost of a brand new engine that will be his cost. thank you.Customer Answer

Used one is ****** without install new one is ****** not excessive kilometres as the truck was bought for business purposes , cavalcade has failed to mention the truck had issues the day I bought it as noted on my first phone call to rob , witch I do believe all calls are recorded if need be, my last offer cavalcade ******* rob ,once again is you pay me the customer that you have heavily faulted and cost numerous dollars ****$ back immediately and immediately report to my credit bearue the * months past due you have * days to accept this offer or notice will be sent by lawyer Im done arguing thanks. ****** ******* .Customer Answer

I leased a vehicle through ***** Auto, which was funded through Cavalcade Auto. I am trying to repair my credit after *****. The vehicle insurance was high, I did miss a payment and made it up. I was in the process of getting other insurance quotes from broker which were lower so, I cancelled the current policy to have a new one instated. The policy was cancelled on May ****, however, the policy remains in effect until May ****. ( I have paperwork) Cavalcade contacted me to advise the insurance company sent them a cancellation notice as of May ****. I explained above for new policy, however, the 2 ladies at Cavalcade advised I needed to park the truck and obtain park insurance ( ************** I contacted broker who advised the policy end date of May ****. Things were fine. I am working 2 jobs, so, knowing there were no issues, I had a nap prior to my second job. From the time I went to sleep and got up, the vehicle was shut down by Cavalcade. That was fine, I had to work and would call them in then in the morning. I had errands to run and with no vehicle, it took me longer than I thought. I received a call from a bailiff that he was there to repossess the truck for no insurance. I told him it did have insurance, and I would contact Cavalcade. Neither of the ladies were accepting of the paperwork, invoice, etc confirming there was no lapse in insurance -and the response was whats done is done, there is no redeeming this. They told me I was untruthful ? This was an unlawful seizure and i feel a personal vendetta. I am in the process of moving and take a few boxes with me, I had clothing and toiletries and remainder of fridge items, cavalcade said since I am living in my vehicle, they are definitely taking it. I am NOT living in my vehicle, it was just messy with things, which are also gone now. I want my truck and items back ASAP at Calvacades expense as the seizure was based on no insurance which was false and they refused to accept any paperwork.Business Response

Cavalcade Auto Acceptance did a lease for ******************** in feb 2023. Cavalcade Auto Acceptance received a registered letter from ****** Insurance April **,2023 that ********************************* insurance policy would be cancelled May **, 2023 at ***** AM for nonpayment of an outstanding premium. We tried many times to get Proof of Insurance from the customer during this time with no luck so as per the lease agreement stating we require valid up to date insurance at all times we had no choice but to pick up the vehicle for no insurance. We called her landlord and was told she was no longer there. The vehicle was shut down for no insurance and repossessed May **, 2023 at a ******* parking lot. All of her belongs were put into industrial bags by the Bailiff. The customer in speaking with ***** at ******************** said she had no place to go as she was living in her truck. We certainly do not like or want to put any undue hardship or stress on our customers but we really had no choice in this matter as there was no valid insurance at the time of the seizure and the customer had stated she was living in our leased vehicle. The Bailiff has texted ****** over six times to drop off her belongings to her and has had no response from her as of today. We would suggest the the customer should obtain new residence, and new employment(?) and if she can obtain a cosigner we can certainly look at getting the vehicle back to her.
