    Four of us visited the Lammle's ** *** ****** on July 12th, 2023 around 6:00 pm before the Grand Stand Show to help our guests from out of town buy cowboy hats and to shop for new boots for ourselves. One of our guests picked up a Calgary Stampede hat thinking it was one size fits all and went up to buy it. There were 8 staff standing around doing nothing, none of them had offered any of us any assistance prior to check out, and it wasn't until after she was at the check out counter paying for it and her husband asked "did you try it on?" and that's when they notified her that the hat was final sale. And that's when she realized it was too small of a hat, so she asked if she could exchange it for a larger size, and that's when things got so ugly that we will never return to a Lammle's again. The check out staff rudely informed her it was final sale again and there was nothing she could do - she hadn't even accepted the receipt yet or moved one step away from the till - and they wouldn't make an exception. Yes, she should have checked the size, but they also could have offered her assistance instead of standing around chatting. After rudely asking if we could read, they finally called over their manager to help find a solution. However she was worse! In all our lives we have never had such shocking service. She was so rude, my husband started to film the situation, and that's when her yelling at us to read the signs changed into a much more civil response of "fine just take it and get out" so we left. We had boots, hats and other western wear to buy before this horrible experience, but will take our business elsewhere now.
