    Below is a detailed account of the situation On March 14, 2025, I purchased a boat from Bow Ridge Sports. The listed price was $38,999, which was advertised and agreed upon. After applying and receiving loan approval, I was presented with the bill of sale while at work, which I signed without realizing that the dealer had altered the price to $39,999 and added several unexpected charges: Freight Charge: $1,998 This fee was never discussed, and I was later told it was for delivery, which was not previously arranged. Documentation Fee: $699 This fee was not disclosed before signing the financing documents. Other Fees: $1,499 There was no explanation provided for this charge before purchase.Additionally, after the purchase was finalized, I contacted the dealership regarding pickup and was informed that the boat was not ready due to necessary repairs, including tires, bilge pump, and clearance lights. None of these issues were disclosed before the sale. I also obtained insurance for the boat and trailer through my insurance company, which required the *** number for the trailer to complete registration and obtain plates. Despite multiple requests, the dealership has refused to provide this information. Furthermore, they have not given a definitive delivery or pickup date, despite numerous follow-ups.I believe this dealership engaged in unethical business practices by altering the agreed-upon price, adding hidden fees, failing to disclose necessary repairs before the sale, and withholding essential vehicle documentation.I am requesting the BBB to investigate this matter and assist in ensuring the dealership: Refunds the unauthorized charges added after financing approval. Provides the *** number for the trailer immediately. Provides a clear timeline for the completion of necessary repairs and a confirmed pickup or delivery date.I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to your assistance in resolving this issue.

    On May 1, 2024 I authorized a carb clean on my old ***** outboard motor. Bow Ridge sports claimed they diagnosed it as a carb issue and wanted to conduct a carb clean. I stated in an email to go ahead and immediately phoned them after and said I would not like to proceed if it would be more than 2 hours of technician time. They verbally agreed on the phone.They phoned me a few days later to let me know it was complete. When I asked them what they did, they shared that they took the carb off - did not take any of it apart - put it in a sonic bath and put the carb back on the motor. When I arrived to pick up the motor they stated that this process took them 3+ hours to complete. I am not a mechanic and I can easily take the carb off of the motor in less than 10 minutes and considering they didn't take the carb apart prior to putting it in the bath, there is no reason this should take 3 hours. They decreased it to 2 hours for our final bill but made it abundantly clear that they spent "way more than 3 hours" on the motor. Upon picking up the motor, they stated that it would run perfectly when not connected to the fuel pump. Upon returning home and testing this theory, it is clear that the motor doesn't run at all. I can't even get the motor started and when I dropped it off, I could get it started but it was a challenge. The motor is worse off than when I dropped it off and when we phoned to discuss a refund for the service, they refused. They stated we could bring the motor back in and have them look at it again, but they would charge us for the time they would spend on the motor. Since their charges are astronomical and the fact that their hourly rate changed from the day we dropped it off to when we picked it up, we are uncomfortable using their service again.We are requesting a refund so we can use the money for a reputable mechanic to fix the motor. As of now, it won't even turn on and it is currently unusable due to the work done by Bow Ridge Sports.

    Hello,
    I have attached multiple documents to show work that has been done and the diagnosis that were completed on *********************** motor. Also the communications that were had with **** in regards to working on a motor from the early 1970s. When completing a carb clean we do not require taking everything apart, however due to the age of the motor our tech worked carefully and slowly to prevent any more damage as parts become delicate and are also hard to replace being 50+ years old. With your situation we quoted you more than 3 hours for a diagnosis and repair and honored the 2 hours you had approved upon pick up, while also receiving threats from ****'s wife ************************* that she would leave us bad reviews if we did not lower the bill more when the motor got picked up. **** clearly stated that he is not a mechanic, and that when he went to run his motor without the fuel pump connected that it did not start at all. The reason the motor did not start after being disconnected is because we bypassed the faulty fueling system, it still needs fuel to run. When completing a diagnosis on any machine, motor or engine the mechanics must rule parts out one by one until we come to a final conclusion or what is causing the issue. We are one of the only shops in this area that takes on older units because we want to support our community. We completed a successful diagnosis for **** and *************************. 
    As a business we had made the decision back in January to slowly increase our shop rate to cover the costs associated with inflation, and we are still $15 an hour less than the shops in our surrounding area. 
    When ***** and **** made the decision to pick up their motor and not complete the repair we let them know that the repair wasnt fully completed, they chose to pick it up. After being verbally abusive to our service writer we would not be willing to continue a relationship with this customer regardless of this outcome.

    I purchased a 2015 used maverick back in Aug 30 2023 and ordered a windshield for the maverick it's paid in full with the receipt i never got the windshield asked for my money back **** the owner won't return my money but says store credit I don't want to do business here because I was down graded when it was a aboriginal there I also have another rzr was supposed to be fixed but never did they are not returning my rzr when I went to pick up my rzr.i pay 100 dollars to pick up my rzr on May 3 2024 I called 2 times to have the rzr ready to be picked up but **** the owner said its ready just come when I got there with my guy to pick up he won't return it but says I owe him 567 I just want my money and rzr back if it's not fixed then why pay ****** I need help to get my rzr and my windshield money I promise I won't go there anymore
