As we have told her right from the start we are non refundable (as are most if not all event businesses) this was made well aware of before taking any money. We definitely did not and do not keep this from our clients. Not only do we tell them we are non refundable we also have this in our terms and conditions. A quote is always sent to our clients outlining all the details before payment. Once payment is received it then becomes a invoice.

When working with a client our invoices are attached to their names and our terms and conditions making this a contract between only them and ********* *********. Should there ever be a refund/credit (under certain circumstances) it would go to whoever’s name is on the invoice and that person only. Therefore with the invoice being under her daughters name the credit would go to her daughter.

Should the person on the existing invoice agree to let someone else have the credit a waiver would have to be signed. The new client would then also sign into a contract with terms and conditions. ********* ********* does not tolerate verbal or physical abuse of any kind and can refuse service should this happen.

We are pretty confident no business would feel comfortable working with her if she treated them the way she has treated us. She has done nothing but threaten us, call us liars, and try to belittle us in anyway she could and yet we have been nothing but polite.

We did offer to reach out to her daughter right from the beginning (on the phone) before the text messages began). Once it was clear she was not having anything to do with contacting her daughter or having us do so on her behalf, this is when we decided it would be best for them to decide what was going to happen with the credit and for us not be in the middle hoping they could both come to an agreement without this situation escalating (this is where the text messages begun). This decision did not make her happy so we sought out legal advice. Once doing this, everything stated before changed with the advice we were given. The lawyer stated the credit would belong to her daughter since it’s a contract in her daughters name regardless of there being a paper trail. This situation has been very stressful as we have never had to deal with both a cancellation and a falling out between family members before. We have been very understanding of the situation as we know it has not been easy for all parties. This is a situation that has been made out to be our fault when it is not. If there had not been a falling out this would have never been an issue as she would have been more then happy that she had helped her daughter.

From the start we have only been trying to make sure everything has been dealt with correctly. We are sorry she is not happy with the legal advice we have been given.
