My husband and I booked a 7 day guided moose hunt for our honeymoon in October 2021. Under the contract laid out we were expecting full meals, warm tents, and at least a bathroom. Our meals consisted only of perogies and hot dogs (our contract stated we had a cook in camp, yet we had to do all the cooking if we wanted to eat) we didn’t find out they had a toilet box hidden in the bush until the very last day of our hunt to use, and the guide did not have enough wood to heat the tents. Nor did the guide have a working chainsaw, which caused us to sacrifice half a day to drive to town an hour away, find a new chain, and then cut firewood. The owner of the outfitter was not there *** ** *****. His head guide was there and two other guides that have never been to the area before. The head guide had to leave due to ******* ******* after the first day. A third guide was brought in to fill the gaps, again another guide that had never been to the area before. There was apparently a jet boat that none of the existing guides knew how to drive, nor even knew it’s exact location. *** ***** ***** *** ******** ** *** **** ****** ************* ******** ***** *** ****** **** ********* ********* *** *** **** ** **** ** ******** **** **** ******** **** ****. ** *** *** *** ** **** **** **** ***** *** ***** ** **** ********* ** *** ** *** ** ** *********** *** **** ***** *** ****** *** ** ***** We contacted ***** to come up with a resolution. He said he couldn’t do that and wouldn’t take responsibility for hiring unqualified, inexperienced and unvetted guides or for the inferior product that was offered. So instead he specified instead of giving us money he would be willing to give us a half priced mule deer hunt instead for 2022. Which we agreed to, and since then **** ***** has ghosted us and will not respond to texts or emails.
