    In 2018 I took out a loan with Settlement Lenders for $1500.00 at the time It was not properly explained to me how the loan, particularly the interest rate and it’s application were not properly or clearly explained to me. The attorney I had at the time also failed to explain to me properly and clearly how this lending item would work and the firm quit on me soon after the loan was taken out. I was forced to manage my case on my own for a couple of years before finally finding an honest attorney that agreed to take on my case, this did not happen until 2022. The legal process has been dragged out by **** and COVID to an insane degree and here we are in November 2023 still with little movement on my case. I only recently was told that Settlement Lenders now expects to collect nearly $10,000.00 from any settlement or award reached in my case and I find that to be remarkably shocking and far beyond fair or reasonable, honestly, I became physically ill when I was told the amount. The number of outside factors that have extended my case for nearly 6 years have all been beyond my control particularly COVID and I do not believe it is fair, ethical or reasonable for Settlement Lenders to collect from me such an insanely large amount to pay off a loan of $1500.00. Put simply, this item is predatory and has taken advantage of me when I was very sick, in a great deal of pain, poor and desperate and now they stand to collect $9,500.00 its bonkers. Nobody at Settlement Lenders or my attorneys office at the time explained to me that I could end up in this situation they did not even come close.

    occasions in 2021 and 2022, regarding this loan by phone, email and demand

    this review, all of your contact information has changed (attached), but I am
    confident that they did their due diligence in attempting to keep you informed.

    I am attaching your loan contract as well as the contact
    information we have on hand for your convenience.
