  My Neightbors house was on fire late March 2023, the fire jumped the fence and distroyed my RV then caught my garage burning hole in the side of it and up into the rafters, and melting the siding on my house.
  My insurance company tried to get me to take a very low ball figure to settle and I do the repairs. The amount they offered would not cover half the damage so I refused and that's when Belfor came into the pitcure.
  I understude disasters like this take time to get repaired I did not exspect anything over night. However over a year and half has gone by and my garage is still just a shell finished on the out side but No doors to keep people out no way to secure it!
  I tried to reason with them calmly and professionaly but now they just ignore me. I'am in the middle of the city so now my nice new garage is a Out-house for homeless people.
  And soon when the weather turns cold I'm sure the homeless folks will try to stay warm by starting fires in there!
  And my project manager is down in Jasber tring to snag some good paying jobs down there. Well I watch what I did get them to replace slowly get destroyed again.
  They only good thing I can say is the work they did so far is good, not top of the line by any streteh but good.

  We have no real issues with the various crews of workers who came to the house to remove the damaged flooring and drywall. They were all personable and reasonably efficient.Our issue is with the perceived padding of services that the work estimate (invoice) contained. Frequent photo taking during the process, and watching the work as it was performed helped us revise the SIX estimates of work that Belfor presented to our insurance company. $7,000 of "mistakes" were identified including work in unaffected rooms, use of equipment never utilized, and square footage calculations based on gross rather than useable space. We were charged and not reimbursed for a $150 lead test that was never performed. Worse, at the eleventh hour, in work estimate revision #6, Belfor decided to add a charge of $300, for three hours of work collecting 2 asbestos samples which in reality took 15 minutes total. The basement ceiling damage caused by their asbestos abatement process is not repairable and they have neither apologized nor offered any monetary compensation. They did offer to come and *******************) it but we are unwilling to have them set foot in our house again.This entire process took nearly four months, and only with the intervention from senior managers at our insurance company did we finally receive a work estimate that we were willing to live with.Far greater attention to detail on the part of the project manager and estimators would have avoided all of this.
