    Dates of transactions are monthly. The increase that shook us happened Nov 2024; no notice or change in services: not supply nor demand - which made us take a hard look back; this is a rough payment history & increase pattern:2014 MARCH $113.40 2014 NOV $130.14 2015 DEC $152.20 2016 DEC $174.65 2017 OCT $141.75 2018 OCT $141.75 2022 JULY $203.58 2022 AUG $257.16 2023 MAY $325.74 2024 JAN $377.48 2024 MAY $394.85 2024 OCT $493.56 2025 MARCH $499.77 We have quotes from local businesses for comparable service $162.95 - a $332 difference!We contacted them asking for a better price - they gave us $135 - dropped our monthly rate from $495, BUT ONLY IF we were to sign a 5 year contract. Which meant that we are not on a contract currently. When asked - they retracting the "off contract" statement - gave multiple contract renewal dates. We then went back through past conversations with the business. Our old **** *** had noted on our account back in Nov 2020 that we were NO LONGER on a contract, nor do we want to be on one at all. So our account has been automatically renewing since our original contract date of 2013.We asked for copies of the contract renewals, whom signed etc - the only one they have is our original in 2013. Since then there has been no human or electronic forms of permissions given to renew whatsoever. We asked for copies of the fine print of the contracts; the scanned copies they gave us are not legible. They told us they would mail out originals. They have yet to. They are holding us hostage on words we cannot read - nor ever agreed to. We started these conversations with them back in March 2025. We have sent registered letters asking to pick up their bin, another stating ****** vs Hrynew with the Supreme Court of Canada etc - they deny any merit at all.I have all of this information ready for anyone to read; with names and dates of those involved, all conversations had.     Costs for services have risen inordinately and disproportionally to equivalent services, causing a significant hardship for the non-profit group (the *** ****** * ******** ********* ******) that I represent. Costs are now $9,000 per year for waste pick-up and we are locked into a 5-year contract. We would like to break the contract and go with an alternative waste pick-up service. One such company we researched (***** **********) is offering a 1-year contract with a monthly charge of $110.54 plus taxes -- a savings of over $600 per month. The equivalent sized bin would be an additional $17.77/m
