It would be a -5 if there was an option. During the extreme cold weather, my renter called to say that there was a squealing in the furnace. I called just after lunch and they had a tech in the ************ area. The tech called to tell me that the motor is going to die, that it's the wrong kind of furnace for a duplex- he said- it's used for trailers and that he could order a motor for it, but it would take 2-3 weeks to get it and the furnace would die before then. He said he could get me a good deal on a furnace, and because he wouldn't have to do as much work he could get me a deep discount. There were more details offered- which I took notes on. I said to send me the quote and I would talk to my hubby and get back to him. Well my hubby called around- and the quote for $8000 for a furnace for an 800 sq ft. 1/2 duplex was by far over priced- and even with the discounts it was going to be $7700 plus tax. My hubby made some calls- he found that the replacement motor is readily available and those companies even told my hubby how to do it all etc- they helped him and it still only cost less than a $1000. So saddened that someone was looking to find a sucker and not caring or offering an actual solution- just a big payday for him. But I am grateful that there are companies out there that do care and helped us out. Share with everyone- so they don't get any further victims.

Buyers beware I called pro solutions for a quote on a new furnace with install and after doing the in home quote he quoted me $9,436.35 and said that the cheapest they can do it this is my first time getting a new furnace so I thought that was the price would be near but the guy who came to quote me I think his name was ***** Acted arrogant and a bit of a douche acting like the job was really hard because the furnace was in a crawlspace and that their guys are gonna have a hard time and made it seem like a bigger deal than it was which they added another $900 to the labour which I think was excessive. So I called His supervisor to see if he can come down on the quote because it was a bit high. He said that he can only come down 500 bucks and that the reason the quote was high was because this furnace brand. Was in the high-end furnace category and this and that so I called ********** to get another quote just to kind of see if it was similar they quoted me for the exact same furnace for the exact same work $5400 all in and they said That this furnace was their lowest end price furnace was shocked $4000 difference I anticipated a couple hundred bucks but four grand I knew something was wrong. This just proves how prosolutions took advantage of me because I didn't know anything about furnaces and that I'm young and thought they can walk all over me and rob me of $4000. I have proof of pictures attached And will be reporting this, so please guys get quotes from more companies So you don't get scammed from this companyProSolutions Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning

I had no problems getting ProSolutions in, in a timely manner, to replace my furnace in my ******** house, and again two months later to replace my furnace and add an air conditioner in my **************** house. However, I now have found out that they did not pull a City permit for any of the work done on either property, so no inspections were done for gas or electricity. When a neighbour complained that no permit was obtained, a City inspector came to my home in **************** and asked if the company I had used had pulled a City permit -- his records showed that they had not. After taking a brief look at the work, he said from what he saw he would not pass the electrical. I am now in discussions with ProSolutions as to why in February and again in May, no permits were obtained from the **************** or the ************************. Without the permits and thus the inspections I have no assurance that the electrical and gas fittings were done properly. Also, today I found out from City planning that the air conditioner was placed too close to the property line. If a permit had been applied for I expect this would not have happened, and possibly, I wouldn't have a neighbour causing me grief!ProSolutions Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning

As of this comment everything is now up to date, documented, and has passed. Although we did not go with ProSolutions to install a new furnace we must comment on their upfront service and customer relations. **** arrived on time as scheduled for the in-home tour. No high pressure at all, just good, solid information. Later spoke to *** who was able to massage the pricing a bit anf clearly understood our situation as retired seniors. Liked the way this company does business and the manner in which they treat the (potnetntial) customers. Fantastic service, they came the day I phoned. I am handicapped and unable to reach the place inside the house where the outside water has to be turned off for the winter.
