      Word to the wise if you decide to work with Stroud Agencies Ltd. Pay close attention to the type of investments they invest you in. We signed lots of paperwork, but it was never clearly explained that we would be placed in deferred sales fees and high management expense ratio (MER) investments.We were also told that tax planning, estate planning would be provided, and this never occurred. In addition, we often had to ask for a monthly consolidated statement to be sent. It was supposed to be sent every month. Trusting Shroud Agencies **** with our life savings being so close to retirement greatly affected us in a negative way. We will say they are kind, easy going and we did enjoy working with them at the start of the relationship. Educate yourself and do not take a loss like us. We came to find out that we owed approx. $38,000 in deferred sales fees when we moved our investments to another advisor. We asked for some of these fees to be reimbursed and Stroud Agencies Ltd. sent a letter to us via thier special case administration personnel. We were not reimbursed any of the fees and this was the last time we heard from Stroud Agencies Ltd.Do your research first and save yourself a lot of stress.

      Beware. alls good until you want to cash in some of your investments, have a small mortgage and wanted to pay it off, does everything possible to talk you out of it and is very rude to you? I could not sleep after dealing with him. Its like its not your money? not good and very upsetting if your retired.
