I did an online finance application on Sunday September 22nd. It is now the 26th and I have yet to hear back from the store. I have tired multiple times to get a hold of someone to find out about the application and just keep getting the run around. I cant believe they can do a credit check and not get back to you.

I brought my bike in for service on April 11 2024. I took it home and didn’t think to do a full inspection. I went to go for a ride April 13 and noticed it was a different seat. Or that it was my seat, and it was damaged. I took it back and they called the damage irregular wear. I looked under the seat and the part number didn’t match my receipt from last year. I found a “new” seat on the showroom floor that’s has markings of being previously installed, and the part number that was on that seat matched the one on my receipt. I am 99% certain that is my seat.

They took the damaged seat and said they would file a claim for irregular wear, and sent me home with a totally different seat that does not fit my bike.

I have recent pictures of my seat that was taken shortly before the service, and it shows no damage. Service manager brushed off any evidence I have.

Thank you for the opportunity to address this customer's concern. Customer was here on 04/11/2024.
It would appear that our attempts to communicate with this customer have failed. They were under the impression that we removed their seat and exchanged it with our inventory. We tried to explain that we would not have done this and showed the customer our check-in photos of when they dropped the motorcycle off.

I have attached the photos and work order.

I am rejecting this response because:

I’ve attached pictures showing before my bike went into service, and after. The pictures provided by Barnes is pixelated when zoomed in making it impossible to see the damage in question. The damage I’m referring appears to be some kind of linear burn mark that borders the top portion of the seat. The part number in the picture I provided is off the seat Barnes returned to me, and it doesn’t exactly match that of my receipt. The only scenario my bike left my garage without my supervision is when it went into service at Barnes.

Barnes did NOT attempt to make any contact with me. In fact on April 13, I was informed over the phone that the GM will be in contact with me. That never happened. The service manager did not acknowledge the damage of the seat. She called it regular wear. I persisted that she look further into my discrepancy and she threatened to call authorities if I did not leave. I reluctantly left with the damaged seat and the matter is still unresolved.

I am happy to provide any further evidence upon request.

    Sincerely,

    Hi,

We have submitted photo proof of the bike after Service as well as the work order from the job. We did not remove the seat. We regret we were not able to reach the customer immediately, but we did speak within a reasonable timeframe.

I am rejecting this response because:

Please attach your photos from after the service like you have stated. The only photos you have previously submitted were from before the service, and they show NO damage to my seat therefore validating my complaint. I will continue to present facts and evidence upon request. Barnes has yet explain or investigate my claims.

    Sincerely,

Motorcycle was purchased April 8th 2023
@ Barnes Harley Davidson South Edmonton
1616 Calgary Trail SW, Edmonton, AB T6W 1A1.

We had signed paperwork for the motorcycle for the listed sticker price on the bike, once everything was signed and just loaded up the bike, they came back and said that they didnt include the accessories that the dealership had put onto the bike to help better sell it and that we would have to redo the paperwork to include the additonal amount they forgot to put into the first round of paperwork. Once that had happened they stated they would take a 1000$ off the new sale price to try and rectify the inconvenienceof the sale. They sent the paperwork to us to resign and we realized they did not take off the 1000$ as promised. When we went to the dealership to bring up this issue, they refused to try and rectify the $1000 off the original sale or offering any in store credit for the missed amount claiming that they were unhappy with our review on Google and that it was to late to do anything about the missed money and seemed uninterested in honoring their word or the proposed deal.

This email is to confirm that Mr. ******* purchased and paid for a vehicle as advertised and received all accessories purchased as agreed upon. I have attached the signed quote that includes the work order in question.

A clerical error was made when printing the paperwork which was caught and rectified before the customer had left his purchase appointment. We feel badly that the mistake happened and caused Mr. *******e to spend extra time at the dealership that was not planned for. The employee who made the mistake has agreed to be more careful going forward.

When Mr. ******* left he expressed to several employees that "mistakes happen" and shook hands saying he was very happy with his purchase experience regardless of the error.

We are not going to move forward with the requested compensation for extra time spent while we reprinted documents. We will continue to provide training to limit these types of mistakes in the future.

I am rejecting this response because:

I was told there would be $1000 off the new paperwork for the inconviences had. And when asked about it Barnes Harley Davidson did not keep to their word. As this is not the case I will no longer be doing business with them.
