    I purchased a 2023 Honda CRV at Alberta Honda on April 16th 2024. Initially, the salesperson told me the vehicle was a "management vehicle", but I was told three months later that the vehicle was actually a service loaner. I was given a ****** during purchase that stated "0 service records", three months later I found out that the vehicle had engine problems a month before I purchased, and none of the engine service was reported to ******. The dealership stated in August 2024 that they "don't report to Carfax", even though they are registered with AMVIC and should be a trusted source for vehicle sales. During purchase, I was given a copy of a signed Honda Certified Pre-Owned Mechanical Inspection that stated an oil change was a mandatory item on the inspection, the dealership manually reset my oil life to 100%, but I found out three months later that the vehicle had never had an oil change. The dealership cannot provide any records of an oil change, and I was told by the general sales manager that obviously an oil change was never completed. Meaning the practically brand new vehicle went over two years without ever having an initial oil change until I had it completed on July 31 2024.I requested the dealership buy the vehicle back, but their only offer would leave me with $11,000 in negative equity after only owning it for less than four months. The dealership has no accountability, and is taking zero responsibility for their lies and actions. I purchased the vehicle, as it was practically brand new with low kilometers, but the transaction was fueled by lies, falsified documents, and undisclosed information due to the dealership not reporting the engine issues and services that they completed themselves. These new CRV's are incredibly expensive, and the risk for continued engine issues in the future is incredibly high, and almost inevitable, given the previous engine problems and the vehicle never having an oil change completed after original manufacturing.

    I personally mailed a written letter to the owner of the dealership, I am not sure if this was a factor in the final resolution, but within 10 days of mailing my letter I received a new option from the dealership. This new option put me into a brand new 2025 CRV with slightly lower payments with a lower interest rate. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I sincerely hope that their sales practice is seriously reviewed with the staff and adjusted accordingly so that other customers do not have to find themselves in a similar situation as I was put into
