We purchased a new 2021 GMC Yukon XL from Wolfe GM. At the time of purchase we were told that the vehicle would be eligible for oil changes for life. We have been taking the vehicle back for regular oil changes since our purchase. The last time we had the vehicle in for an oil change was wife was told we would not be eligible for any additional oil changes until we had the dealer perform additional maintenance which is not related to an engine oil change. I spoke with another GM dealer about if the items listed by Wolfe GM as being required maintenance were actually required by GM to keep the vehicle in proper operating condition. I was told absolutely not and they felt this additional maintenance Wolfe GM wanted to complete at our expense was simply an attempt to recoup some of the money Wolfe GM was spending on the oil changes for life program. When I contacted service at Wolfe GM to discuss this issue and asked to speak with a manager I was placed on hold for over half an hour until I eventually hung up.

We are certainly sorry to learn of Mr. ******'s dissatisfaction with our Wolfe Pack Advantage program.  This is a completely voluntary rewards program with NO obligation on Mr. ******'s part.  We provide a reward to our customers who follow a recommend vehicle maintenance program with no-charge oil changes during their visits.  It is very simple, come back to any Wolfe Auto Group dealership, perform the recommended maintenance and you are rewarded with a no-charge oil change.  As an example, in 2023 we provide over 1,500 no-charge oil changes to our valued and loyal customers.  I have attached a copy of Mr. ******'s signed acknowledgement of the program which was explained to him at the time of purchase and during each service visit; the most recent I believe was last November.

I am rejecting this response because:

In order to receive the benefits of the oil change program I am forced to complete maintenance that is neither necessary or required at my own expense.Making the oil changes in effect not complimentary as we were lead to believe at the time of purchase. I have spoke with several other GM dealers about this issue and they encouraged me to contact GM and launch a complaint against Wolfe GM. I have been told they regularly hear about Wolfe GM from other customers complaining about the so called complimentary oil change program and they believe it is a fraudulent program that gives other GM dealers a negative reputation. My family has been dedicated GM customers for several generations purchasing countless GM vehicles over the years. Thanks to deceptive business practises such as the “complimentary oil change program” we have recently began purchasing Chrysler products and will continue to do so in the future.

    Sincerely,

I negotiate and purchased a new GMC Yukon Denali at Wolfe GMC on April 6, 2023, for a purchase price of $ 109,000. I gave them a $5,000 deposit and on the basis of the sale sold my 2016 GMC Yukon Denali.

On April 8th when the day I was to receive delivery of my new car. I called the dealership and was informed that they didn't really have the car I purchased.

I feel Wolfe GMC was deceptive and acts in a manner that harms consumers.

On July 11, 2022 I took my 2009 Pontiac Vibe in for repair as my check engine light and stabliatrac lights were on. The steering wheel was also bouncing/shaking so I took my vehicle to Wolfe GMC Buick Edmonton for repair as I have done since I purchased it in 2009. The Service Order states that there was an issue with the #4 coil circuit and the front brake pad was low. The front brakes were replaced as well as the #4 ignition coil. Service order # for this work is: *********.

I took my car back on July 21, 2022 as it was making an odd sound on the initial start up (*********). Wolfe GMC Buick Edmonton was unable to replicate the problem however I am still experiencing the same issue today.

I brought my car back on September 22, 2022 (*** ******) to have my summer tires switched over and to take a look at the initial start up sound that was still occurring. My winter tires have been in storage with Wolfe Buick GMC since the summer of 2021. Upon picking up my car later that day, I noticed my rims were rusted and did not look like they belonged to my vehicle. My wheel lock key was in a pouch that had other bolts in them and have always remained in my console. However, upon having my tires swapped over, these keys were missing and I was charged $7 to use their wheel lock key. I also noticed that my hub caps were not on and the lug nuts were different than I had seen previously. The hub caps were in a bag in the back of my car and when I asked why the hub caps were off, I was told that the staff could not touch anything that was in bags in your vehicle.

I would like the car fixed properly at no charge and would like to know the whereabouts of my original lug nuts & wheel lock key. I would also like my hub caps put on - the service desk stated that the hub caps could not be put on as the lug nuts are too big. I have not seen these lug nuts before and have taken my vehicle to this dealership since I bought my car in 2009 without issue. I am very disappointed.

I am certainly sorry to learn of your client's concerns.  Regrettably she has not approached our Service Manager, *** *******, who stands ready to help assist and clarify her concerns.  From our preliminary investigation we offer the following facts:

Re Cold start concerns, we are unable to diagnose as we could not replicate the condition.  If the condition presents itself we would be very willing to diagnose and provide an estimate.

Re Wheel rust and different centre caps/lug nuts.  As explained by our Service Advisor, the wheels are from 2009 and yes, some rust could be expected on thirteen (13) year-old winter rims.  The centre caps/lugs are different from her summer wheels as the winter set goes with her steel wheels (used in winter).  I am sure Don can show her her summer wheels/centre caps/lugs and demonstrate the difference.

As mentioned in my opening sentence, we stand ready to assist and clarify your client's concerns.  We will to our utmost to assist and resolve her concerns.

    Regards,
