Based on the website ad and conversation with *********, I elected to have MakeSpace deliver a container to my home in Spruce Grove for a move. I did run into some financial issues with them, due to a much larger bill for the subsequent move of the container to my parent's acreage, than I could have even anticipated - however, was assured that this move could be accommodated at the time I booked it. I was also told that the delivery and pick-up charge were paid up front (the $350). I lived in Spruce Grove and the address was approximately a 20 min drive from the MakeSpace Storage facility to my home. The driver was only there for 20 mins. Now that the account is cleared off and the unit is ready for pick-up, the company is telling me they are giving me a deal, by only charging $275 for pick-up. According to my understanding of the contract and our conversation booking the container - I have already paid for the pick-up. My father's acreage is immediately adjacent to city limits. The traffic on the SW Anthony Henday can be heard from the house. I feel that this company is doing false advertising and is not living up to the contracts that are signed initially. ********* has gone on to say that the $125 p/hr is to include the truck loading at the shop; delivery and return to the shop. Based on the fact that it was a 20 min drive to my house; the driver dropped the container in 20 mins and returned presumably to his base in 20 mins. That means that it took the driver 1.8 hours to pick up the container? Should I have to pay for driver incompetence? Why am I having to pay the 'deal' of $275 when from my understanding, it was paid last April?

I am pleased to tell you that MakeSpace did contact me late Friday pm and agreed to waive the pickup charges for the container.  I just received a final invoice from them, showing a $0 balance.  From my perspective- this matter has been resolved.  Thanks so much!
