    I just had my new truck canopy installed today, which was purchased months ago, but only recently arrived at CAP-IT for installation. The new canopy has a visible crack on the passenger side, to the rear of the side window. I was only informed of the crack when I came to pick up the canopy, but the canopy was already installed (and wired for remote keyless entry) and I had no option to request a refund or a new, undamaged canopy. I was given touch up paint to apply to the area, but given the color of the canopy (white) and the fact that it is a large crack in the canopy rather than a scratch, the paint obviously does not cover the crack. I was given no indication about whether the canopy would support the weight it was intended to support, or even the weight of snow on top of the canopy. I was told that CAP-IT will contact the canopy maker to seek a resolution. If a suitable resolution to this issue is found, I'll gladly revise this review, but in the mean time I thought it may be helpful to note this experience. In fairness to CAP-IT, they did inform me of the crack and did not try to conceal the damage, but I am still disappointed that this broken (but sold as new) canopy was installed on my truck after many months of waiting, and at cost of nearly $6000.

    ****, I appreciate your feedback but some statements made are not accurate at all. First your canopy was ordered on 2/22/24 and right on your billing said 8 plus weeks for delivery and it in fact showed up in 5 weeks, less than what was quoted. Second, we had told you about the crack before you even paid for the canopy as we were very clear that we were going to do everything in our power to rectify this for you which included getting you a new canopy. Third we gave you touch up paint because it is included in the sale of your canopy we did not give it to you to hide the crack or make it less visible. Fourth, we had walked out to the canopy with you to go over all the details, but you didn't want to hear anything from us and walked to your door to get in the truck, we would have gladly gone over everything with you outside had you given us the opportunity. As mentioned when you were in the store we have been in contact with LEER to get this handled for you in the quickest way possible. I apologize that your canopy was damaged but we aim to give the best customer service possible and when things like this happen we have our customers back 100%.
