    Friday the **** of January I went in to the windshield satellite office to have my driver's side window replace. The cost was ******s and GST. While there, I went ahead and got my front windshield replaced. The total cost was ****** +/-.The work was done within an hour.The paperwork receipt said for me to be careful with shutting the door. I found that odd. For a vehicle door glass ought to be strong and resilient enough to withstand normal usage. Shutting doors shut is normal usage.I drove the truck home, and I noticed the armrest that holds the controls for the windows and all was NOT reconnected like when I took it in. I went to get ready to warm the truck up today, Monday, the 27th, and the window is all "cobwebbed" shattered. I tried to contact in writing Windshield Surgeons. And their website had a flag come up saying that "there was a problem with trying to send the message". I called their 1 *** number. The call was then transferred to ***************, I spoke with ****. He said that there was NOT any guarantees. He then called me back and said that he'd replace my window AGAIN, "at cost" to him for ****** plus GST.*** dollars plus *** dollars plus GST on a single product that has no guarantees, while the paperwork told me to be careful with shutting my door? It is as if there has been other windows shattered without guarantee, but enough so that the company would think to print a disclaimer or warning about shutting the door gently, and all in the first place.I find it highly suspect the quality of the glass from the supplier this company uses, and it seems as if there has been shattering of glass windows before if they actually print such out on their receipts, I doubt that you all can do anything about this.I just would like to know if there has been other's having their replaced windows shatter in such a short time from getting the window replaced, and if there is a remedy for me or NOT?This is all too suspect for coincidence.Thanx...

    There is a correction to make. I originally wrote that something was printed warning to "be careful" shutting the door. That was spoken to me by **** as she also said to NOT power wash neither. Instantaneous window fracture is a strange phenomenon and that is what happened. My truck has been unmolested for years being parked at the usual spot. I rule out vandalism, if someone wanted to get inside, then they could have simply used their pinky to push out the stacked shards of glass. The shards fell out at my gently closing of the passenger door that Monday. After parking the truck that Sunday night.

    Thermal stress, imperfections and scratches, bad glazing, or bad installation, are a few reasons to such glass failure to name a few. Another item is the armrest with the window controls was left loose. I found some black sticky adhesive trying to keep it in place. No one from the shop mentioned any problem about NOT being able to reassemble the door trim and all either.

    The original window did NOT need to be replaced.  A track bracket did perhaps, but NOT that original window. ***** put it on track temporarily on that prior Thursday when I brought the truck in.

    Was the replacement even laminated? It was definitely inferior!

    ****** and I decided that we'd bless this local business with more business, as we then had the windshield replaced too. We were pleased up unto that point and willing to do so.  The windshield cost almost 1/3rd of what the original driver's window did to replace.

    I ONLY want a fair handshake, I am NOT wanting to cause problems, be a problem, or take advantage of anyone. That is NOT who or what I am about. I am an honest man. I will stand in judgment by a righteous holy Creator, for any dishonesty and wrongdoing. I take that knowledge, belief, and fear seriously.

    We paid for quality and service, we expect quality and service. That is a fair handshake to live by.

    Thank you BBB of Alberta for being the valuable intermediary that the organization is, for starters. Thank you, Windshield Surgeons for doing all that you did honoring all warranties and without delay getting my truck road worthy.

    I am writing to inform that Windshield Surgeons called me back, rescheduled and performed to my satisfaction on this matter, such that I addressed in the initial complaint. They replaced the drivers window, and the damaged armrest that had been damaged during the initial work done in late January.

    It has been * weeks since the replacement of the window, and * week since the armrest was replaced. Glenn and Jessica both took care of my issues posthaste. The call back to get the window replaced was done immediately, with courtesy and urgency to resolve the matter, and that is commendable to Window Surgeons.

    I have gratitude for all who were involved at the Better Business Bureau. I am quite satisfied with the actions of WINDOW SURGEONS, to the extent that if I find anyone needing auto glass replacement(s) I will suggest and vouch for WS of Red Deer. 

    Again, thanks to all involved that helped Sherry and me out resolving this issue.

    I visited Windshield Surgeons located in ************************ on December **, 2024. I had * rock chips on my cars windshield for long time and I decided to have them repaired there. They charged me $68.15 for repair. Also they informed me that the repair was under warranty for 1 year. After repair I checked the repaired spots and realized they were not fixed properly. I went back to their place on December **, 2024. They checked the windshield and acknowledged it was not repaired properly. They repaired the windshield second time for no extra charge. It took couple minutes to do the job. I was not satisfied their second repair as well. They informed me the repair fixed properly and was under warranty for a year. I trusted their warranty and left their store. After 3 days, while I was driving the windshield cracked from repaired spot without any external force. I had around ** inches horizontal crack on my windshield. I went to their shop and asked them about further steps at the same day windshield cracked. They offered me partial refund. I told them I drove my car without any issue for a long time with rock chips, however after their * repair attempts somehow it cracked. Now I have to replace the windshield. They quoted me around $*** for replacement. I asked for discount but they refused. They said they can only provide a partial refund. I called another shop to get a quote for windshield replacement. I was quoted $*** for windshield replacement from another shop. Then, I asked them a price match, however they refused to match it. If they do not provide any solution how is that warranty works? Obviously their work caused the crack on the windshield. I am expecting them to replace the windshield under warranty which they provided me with repair.

    The original complaint was sent in on january ****. Since then our Shop Manager ***** has been in contact with the customer and we have done a refund. ***** also Asked ***** to bring in the quote for the $*** so we can do a price match for him and he said he would.... nothing yet.

    On April 19,2022. I went to Windshield Surgeons to change my windshield. They did the job and finish. They left some dirt marks on the inside of my windshield panels and when I spoke to the ******* they said that it was water and it will disappear in couples hours/days. Until now I still have them. I also noticed that the cracked my car panel just underneath of the windshield inside. Once I talked to the ******* (******) he asked me to come back so he can look (Never the less gas is expensive and i had to drive 30 mins back and forth without any offer from the store to reimburse me for the gas used). Once I got to the store he took a look and told me that he will contact his guys and will get this fixed. The ***** ******* is called ****** from the Calgary, AB location. It has been over 3 months and I am still waiting to get this fixed. I gave up trying to reach the store. But nothing has happen and I am still waiting to get this fixed or to get a full reimburse for thus whole issue. I am very dissapointed.
