I bought a engine, transmission and other parts from Allen and sons. March 30 2021. I bought it for a truck Im restoring. Thr engine sat for many months while the truck was getting restored. Once I finally had the engine installed. I found out that the engine was worn out and smoking. I asked Allen and sons for the vin number on the engine I got. It turns out they sent me the wrong engine. I called and asked for some resolution on the matter. **** ***** ******* ***** *** **** ** ** **** **** ** ****** What a horrible business practice. I spent $7066 on the engine, $1200 plus gst to have it installed and another $1200 ish to have it setup and turned to make it work. Im out $10,000 dollars and there suggestion is for me to take them the court. The vin on the invoiced engine doesnt match the vin on the engine they sent me.

This gentleman purchased an engine from us in March of 2021. He called in June of ******** Days after his warranty was over. The engine was special order item. You know this because the invoice i have ******** has a PO number as the stock number. The gentleman says that he did not know that. He did know that when he purchased the engine because he had to pay in advance and it took weeks to come in. He says that the engine is smoking. Even though his warranty is over we told him that if he returns what we sold him that we would issue a refund for him in full. We are still waiting for the items to be returned. He asked for a full refund and to not return the items or he will write a bad review on BBB. To make sure it is clear we have told him he would get a full refund all he had to do was return the items. He did not do that and instead of returning the items he threaten to write bad reviews. We sell used parts from crashed vehicles, and even though his order was special order and is 337 days past warranty all he has to do is return the parts he bought to get his refund.

Thank you for the chance to show the entire world that we are the only auto recycler in ****** that would special order an item from another auto recycler and still refund it one year after the warranty if you are not happy. All you have to do is return the parts.

It does not matter that you can not buy a new engine. All you have to do is return the parts. You warranty is log expired. We will still refund you if you return the parts we sold you. You can not and, shows you are not being reasonable if you think we are doing a ******* refund 337 days after the warranty, special ordered without you returning your parts. That will not happen no matter how much you attempt to extort us.

I am rejecting this response because: the engine sent isnt the engine I paid for. Ive spent a extra $2400 to install and time thr wrong engine, plus I would have to pay to have this engine removed. So how can my warranty be over when I do t have thr correct engine to start with?
You get your engine back, I get my money back. But I will have spent a extra $3600 I. The process. Which is more half the cost of the engine again.
Being yelled at, swore at when your company is at fault is very unprofessional! So why dont you cover the cost of the money Ive wasted from your negligence?
Once again. The special order engine you speak of, I dont have! You sent thr wrong engine!!!!

    Sincerely,

The Engine you bought was special ordered.
That means we did not have an Engine it stock and that we had you buy it from another auto recycler and ship it in.
We did not manufacture or build the engine.

The first thing a mechanic does before going thru this would be to confirm the compression numbers.

It is your responsibility to hire a qualified mechanic and to make sure the work is done within your warranty period. If you mechanic noticed the engine was wrong it should have been returned before it was installed into the vehicle.

You could have stopped this on day 1 and returned it before it came off the pallet.

You had to pay a mechanic to install it. Is it not the mechanics responsibility to insure that they do there best to make sure that there is no apparent problems with your engine before it is installed?. Did he do a compression test to insure that they did give us what we ordered since it was tested by the supply yard? You just let it sit till your warranty expired? and not only till your warranty expired, a year past ?

We have extended your warranty to Aug 5th 2022. If the engine is not returned your warranty will be completely void. This is more then a reasonable extension from the date you purchased it.

You did get an engine. You claim it is wrong and no good. The problem here is you do not want to return the engine and still want more then what you paid back.
Abusive behavior will not get you this.
This man went on ******** and started to **** ********* ****** ** ** **** *** ***** ****** because i confronted him over his abusive, bully like behavior. Who does that.
Your abusive, bully like behavior, will be confronted yes.
Your slander campaign will be dealt with as a separate matter.

Please return your engine within the extended time as if you do not we will be forced to close your file. Regards

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I bought the engine from ********************** and sons. YOU sent the wrong engine. The engine came directly from your place of business where you should have checked it. The invoice I have is a 2014 6.2 gmc engine with ****** km. This is not the engine I have installed in my truck. So yes, I have the wrong engine.
**** ********************** is the person that I was told I had to deal with, the person that yelled, swore and told me that I should *** the company. I asked to talk to one of the owner. ***** ********************** or *** ********************** are the owners and I refused to talk to **** ********************** a** I dont need to be yelled and swore at by a teenager. I will only deal with someone that is professional. I will be filing a claim against this place of business as thats the only resolution **** ********************** wants.
there was no ********* on my side. I attempted to email both ****************** and Ive received no response. Dealing with **** ********************** is out of the question.
I didnt ask the mechanic to check compression as it was a 2014 with ****** km. How can warranty have even started if I dont have the engine I paid for? The engine I have in my truck is not the same one thats on my invoice. If ********************** and sons wants to pay to have this engine pulled out, shipped back and a full refund made. I would accept that. But once againIt will have to be from one of the business owners. Not **** **********************. Hes been nothing but aggressive, angry and a nightmare to deal with.

I will not reply to another reply from **** **********************.

    Sincerely,

    ******** ******
