    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We contracted CanWest to cut and remove concrete for a commercial job we were doing in ********************** Included in the contract was for them to X-ray the slab before cutting and removing. When they were cutting the slabs, they cut a conduit in the concrete floor slab which fed the emergency lighting for the mall. The conduit was clearly marked by the x-ray, but they still cut through it. They did not notify us until 10:00 am the next morning that the conduit was cut. The circuit was live and shorting out on the conduit leaving a dangerous situation for us to deal with the next day. They promised at the time to cover the costs for the damage to the wiring. We and the mall gave them the opportunity to repair the conduit. It was un-repairable, and a new conduit had to be ran which ended up costing more than the original contract. CanWest never covered the full cost of the repair. They do not take liability for there actions. We had to take legal action against them to recoup the costs for the repair.
