I asked the servixe centre to fix my truck; they advised me of the repairs, installed faulty parts and refused to inspect their work after installing faulty parts....they were asked to inspect for further damage and refused even though it was their responsibility to install proper working equipment

    Business Response

    Date: 13/09/2022

The vehicle was brought in for a rattle/ratcheting concern
upon deceleration, we confirmed and found the timing chain required replacement.
Replaced chain, related components and oil pump. After repair customer was made
aware of an unrelated lower engine noise.

    Further diagnostics on noise were
declined at this time. Vehicle then returned for a whining noise- different
than original concern. We replaced a slightly noisy (but still properly
    operating) oil pump under warranty.

Client feels lower engine noise that the
******* ******* discussed originally is due to the noisy oil pump that was
replaced, but it is not possible as the noise was there at the first visit. We are
happy to perform further diagnostics on the engine, client has declined any further
costs associated with tear down as most likely will result in needing larger
engine repairs. In summary- the original oil pump repair or timing chain repair
are not the cause of the current engine noise.

    ********** ********

I am rejecting this response because:

The noise, lower engine noise, that the ******* ******* claims was there durimg the first visit was not noted in the work orders, was not discussed with me andcwas not inspected until after the faulty parts were installed. The ******* ******* says he knows what that sound was without any inspection at all andbit could be any number of things. He wanted me to pay him to inspect the engine after the mechanics installed faulty parts...they refused to check to see if there was any damage resulting from the faulty oil pump.

    Sincerely,
