My husband and I went to Go Auto Yellowhead yesterday only to look at a vehicle. Not once did we say that we were for sure going to be buying from them.They pulled my credit report and made a hard inquiry. AUGUST 2023 Traded in 2 vehicles and purchased another vehicle from Go Auto Outlet in Leduc, AB. After numerous days of them dealing with lenders they finally got us into a vehicle. About a month ago we inquired with the 3rd party warranty company about what was actually coveted in this stating we wanted to cancel. We were told we needed to contact the dealership. We recieved the documents from the warranty company showing the cost of the insurance was ******. We then compared this to the bill of sale from the dealership. They charged us ******* for what was suppose to be ******. This seems fraudulent and when we reached out to Go Auto they said there's nothing wrong they can manipulate numbers. Long story short we are now stuck with almost ****** in so called warranty that does nothing and we need help getting this backInitial Complaint

Purchased a f150 from this dealership on July 6 and it towed back due to mechanical issues 4 days later (saturday) they had itnuntil Wednesday July 17th they informed me after I had to reach out to them the repair for.oil leak was fixed but had to wait an extra day for unknown reasons. I picked the truck up and had a friend drive it home for me as it was an out of town purchase. Once getting the truck home and shutting it off I lost all power to everything on the dash such as radia tach heat/ac signal light ect. I contacted them all via text and now it seems like I'm screwed with this truck. Total kms put on unit is roughly 650. They can not come up with a solution to fix this problem as they brought the unit in from another go auto dealership (yellowhead) I'm unsure what to do a.d hoping you can help in some way. Every time I sit in this truck something else goes. And they aren't really helping. I'm loosing money towing this unit everywhere.Initial Complaint

Me and my son had bought a vehicle in October of 2023. I consigned for him. The vehicle was a 2018 ******* elantra. We got it home and all seemed well. On the 20th day of ownership my son said there was a knocking noise. I went out to listen to it and sure enough it was. I proceed to check the spark plugs and found that the coil packs weren't tightened up. They were loose in there. Got the car towed back to them and it has been a nightmare dealing with them. If they even get back to me. Finally the shipped it to a ******* dealership and they determined it needs a new motor. Go auto is refusing to chip in on it because I replaced the spark plugs. It's now July 2024 and nothing has been done. My son is making his payments for a vehicle he had 20 days back in October 2023. This is crazy,y to me.Initial Complaint

I had been thinking of proceeding with a vehicle purchase at the end of May/early June this year, and had applied for a vehicle loan to proceed with the purchase. Without signing any documents for the loan, I decided against proceeding with the purchase and never stepped foot inside the Go Auto Dealership. On June 3rd, I started to receive multiple/repeated phone calls that I wasnt able to answer while at work. On June 6th, I started receiving text messages from personal phone numbers saying Hi, hey, hellooooooo in an unprofessional manner, with no indication they were reaching out on behalf of the dealership. By the time the employee had identified themselves, I asked for them to take me off their contact list as I no longer wanted to interact with such an unprofessional business. As of July 6th, I have been texted and called by 3 more people identifying as staff from this Go Auto location, and they refuse to stop contacting me for a purchase.Initial Complaint

Purchase this truck from this business after having the truck for over a month I noticed they spot sprayed the rust that started at the rocker panel to hide it. to paying so much for the truck and not notifying me of the work that they did with the spot spraying they hide the rust to receive more value for the truck, but now that the rust has showed up is actually devalued itInitial Complaint

My son and myself went to go auto on Yellowhead Edmonton July 18, 2023 he my son and wanted a vehicle and we had needed a down payment and I had given a $2400 down payment on my credit card and we were refused the vehicle just some credit thing or whatever and now I’m having a hard time getting my deposit back for said Day that we did this I have tried contacting the guy that took the down payment. I bought a 2019 *** ****** from the Edmonton Go Auto Outlet on October 17th 2022, for the amount of $54,487.00
I was given an inspection stating that the truck had been looked over and everything was functioning as it should,
A little less than 4 weeks after I bought it, November 10th to be exact it started making a knocking sound, we had the 11th off due to remembrance day so I parked my truck till Monday since I couldn’t get it looked at on the weekend.
Monday no one could get me in so I got in Tuesday the 15th of November. My truck was at ***** ***** ******** to be fixed for two weeks, it turned out the truck ran out of oil due to the previous person and there would be metal shards in the oil if Go Auto checked it. During that period I called Go Auto as well as my boyfriend the co signer and they told us they would talk to service and call us back, they never did.
I called them asking for an update and if they were going to compensate in any way like a rental etc because this was their fault, and I had no transportation to and from work so I had to borrow a family friend’s vehicle. I also made a payment on the truck when I never even had it. They were just extremely rude and kept saying “well what do you want me to do about that”
They were terrible through the whole process and wouldn’t help me with transportation while my truck was in the shop, thankfully the work was covered by warranty and came out to being roughly $12,000 to fix my whole engine cause it needed a whole long block replacement.
I’m extremely frustrated with the way they handled it and how I got zero compensation for anything, I would hate for someone else to go through this.
I feel as though I deserve some sort of apology and potentially some sort of compensation for what I had to go through.Business Response

Hello,
I would be happy to offer an apology for any inconvenience. For the inspection, if the vehicle was not showing any signs during that time there would be now way for us to tell that a problem was coming in the future. Typically when a vehicle is taken to a dealership, they are the ones that should be providing a loaner vehicle to the customer, we usually do not offer loaner vehicles. We will not be giving them tires, I know having their vehicle break down was inconvenient and I apologize for that.

I purchased a vehicle through them, they told me it had a bunch of options that it didn't have( command start). When I found out about it I contacted them and they decided it would be a better idea to belittle me and try to gaslight me about the endeavor. I asked for a copy of all of the options the vehicle had when I purchased it but conveniently they decided not to put it in the folder with my receipts.Business Response

Thank you for bringing this concern to my attention, We as a company make sure that every one of our guests look over the vehicle and go on test drives.
Selling all makes and models makes it very difficult for us as a dealership to know exactly what each vehicle has as options, hence why we added a disclaimer on our website.
"Although we make every effort to provide accurate information about the vehicle, please verify options and equipment before purchasing."
Also, we would never belittle anyone as we take customer service very serious.
I will be contacting the guest and see if there is a way i can help.

My Girlfriend bought a Car by Go Auto Leduc, an ****** 2019 for $15750.
The Dealer charged her Extended Service for 3628.00, also Tire/Rim Protection for $1699 and FCMAP for 3007.
After a fire and i took over the Car Loan from the Girlfriend i seen that extra charges. She never received any Documentations and explaination what it is and for what.
I called the Dealer and ask for the Documents and what is it for, the extended Service is an extended Warranty, but the Girlfriend never get ask if she want it or not ( also doesn't get any explaination or Documents with the Car. what is the Policy of the Service ( she also was / is first buyer ). WE like to resign all extra service ! I meet an other guy * *** ************ * he has the Same problem and asking for taking the Charges off, but they refuse to do so, even the next day he signed, they also refused to resign the Bill of sale.
