Strongly do not recommend Shear Persuasion for hair extensions. Horrible experience. If a stylist says to Take Tylenol or Advil for the pain from hair extensions. Run. I was told by the stylist she had experience since 2019, later found out by their website she's an apprentice. I spent $1388.75 for hair extensions that I was told by the stylist would last 2 months before maintenance at the salon and hair would last up to 1 year. The appointment was booked for May 27th and cancelled by the stylist. Reschedule for June 1 2024. On June 1, ************************ less then 30 minutes before my schedule appointment to say they were running a "few minutes" behind. It was an hour past my appointment time and the stylist had their child at the salon waiting so my install was in my opinion rushed and improperly installed as a result. I had already paid in full on May 25th and 1 appointment cancelled so I waited. The stylist did not cut the hair to blend and added all of the hair as 1 on my head instead of customizing it to fit and to wear for my hair type. The extension color did not match my hair color. I texted the stylist the next day on June 2, 2024 to advise the color did not match my hair and they looked terrible. By the night on June 2nd 2024 my head was extremely itchy from where the hair was touching my head. The stylist said she would remove them on Monday June 3rd, then never responded to my text that day asking for them to be removed. I booked an online appointment for June 4th to have them removed. My head was red, bumpy, extremely itchy, and painful. I called to speak with the manager ****** to request a refund and was told the install could be refunded which was 350 plus gst and she would look into getting a refund for the hair. I received no response so I emailed and called to follow up with the manager but no response. I then received a text from the stylist who told me rudely that it was "common sense" and I would not receive any of my money back.
