I was quoted an hourly price for help with moving from the third floor to the first floor of the same apartment building and specifically asked if there were any travel charges and I was told the price included everything. There was a $50 deposit we had to give that was also supposed to come off the final price. We were given a 2 hour time slot of 3 to 5 for 2 guys. Not only did they show up an hour late, but they were given a 3 hour time slot. They were here for an hour and 45 minutes and did a great job but when they gave us the final bill it was double the amount we were quoted. I told the guys that wasn't the price we were quoted and only budgeted for the original price. They told us they couldn't leave without full payment and threatened to call the police so I had to borrow money from my Dad. The invoice was emailed to me and when I looked at it, I saw that we were charged for 4 hours, a fuel surcharge, an hour of travel and the $50 deposit was not taken off the bill. I messaged the owner about it and he was very rude and said he sent me an email with all the charges the day I booked but I never received any email. He then sent me a screenshot that was supposedly the email he sent me but still did not have all the charges we were invoiced for, had 2 different time slots and was not in my emails. I explained that to him and he told me to have a nice day and to not contact them again and ignored me. My husband also messaged the guy and was told the same thing. Now we will be short on our honeymoon fund. Why to go for good customer service!
