I had commissioned Alberta Best Pressure Washing, to complete cleaning of the exterior of my travel tailer at *************************, near ********** on August 23 2024.I was not onsite at the time the work was performed, but upon arrival a few hours after their serives I did an inspection, I noticed significant discoloration of the decking, railings & supports ( all pressure treated wood was now white )that are adjacent to the trailer. Although I assumed that they would be using some sort of cleaning products, it appears that a high concentration of bleach and/or solvents must have been employed, in order to affect the wood in this manner. They did not disclose prior to the work they would be using such a strong chemical , no protection, care, caution or warning instructions where given. My property smelled very strong of bleach inside and out side , my dog also fell ill that night . I immediately contacted them to express my concern and was extremely disappointed at their defensive and unprofessional response while accepting no responsibility for the damage to the wood. They did confirm the use of bleach (chlorine)after the work had been completed ; however, would not provide me with the level of concentration. They also made comments that my wood was not pressure treated or this wouldnt have happened but then said everyone covers there deck no such instructions were given prior . As a result of this, I am now faced with additional costs to stain my entire deck, railings and supports so that all match, as per prior to their work. I am asked we find a solution that the decking , fence , rails and supports return to there pervious look without any out of pocket charges be charged to me ; Or lost personal time . The owner had offered to bleach my entire deck I dont want white wood He said he would buy me a can of stain but that doesnt help with the time this problem would take me to complete .

We did inform Manda that it would be a chemical clean from the beginning and to have everything pulled away for the clean. We also told her that we prefer to have the clients present in case of any concerns during the process and that we prefer the client to be present. She declined. When the crew arrived she had a side by side parked in from of her gate that she wanted them to moved for her and was not prepared for the clean at all. The crew moved everything out of the way for her except a picnic table with an old table cloth on it. She also complained that the table cloth had spots on it even though she said it was old. When the job was completed we sent her a few pics of the finished product which we always do when a client isn’t present. She was at her RV with in 2-3 hours after the clean and wanted a full refund because of the spots on the deck. As most of the deck had not be stained in a very long time except the little railing that was spotted we did not think this would be an issue for her. We did go out and look at it and offer to wash the entire deck so it matched for staining. Otherwise it would leave spots in finished product no matter how many times it was stained. She did not want that. She said she took pride in the railing/shelf she made and so we offer to buy her stain because we thought she would want to restain it herself. She declined that. Then we offered to come out and stain the railing ourselves for her, she declined that. She only wanted her money back. She seemed to be looking for a free detail. No matter what we offered she declined it. As getting an exterior detail on a RV is worth more and takes more time and product than restraining an approx. 7’ long 2’ high railing we did not feel she deserved to have a free detail. Then about 5 days later she got back to us and said she wanted the railing restrained immediately. We said we couldn’t do it right away because we are in the busy season for the next couple of weeks. Then she went to public media and starting defaming our business on every group she could find. Some of our customers made us aware of this so we told her to stop misrepresenting the facts because we could file a defamation suit against her. She replied with basically give me back my money and I will stop, which is blackmail. We have tried everything but she has made it clear she wanted a free RV detail and is going to any lengths to get it. We have been in business for 19 months and have only had to replace 5 broken lights covers because they were old and brittle and didn’t stand up to the brushing. We have never had any issues like this at all since we started and we do over 50 RVs a month.

I am rejecting this response because:

I am truly sadden to read this response , there is a lot of false statements.
I ll keep my response straight to the point

    - I was told it was a chemical clean and that’s it which I assumed it was a heavy detergent / degreaser i never dreamed it was something that would discolour all my decking .such as a Chlorine bleach solution.. absolutely NO care , caution ,protection or warnings was giving to me prior to the cleaning . When Darlene his assistant callled to get payment from me the night prior to the cleaning I ASKED her if it would be ok if they moved the sxs if not I would find someone to move it or I would have to postpone the clean . I forgot it was blocking the gate . She told me it was no problem at all and did not ask if there was anything else that needed to be moved.  I did mention the picnic table to Dan cuz I didn’t know things needed to be moved . I  mentioned he could have pulled that away it’s a 10 pound table  you just slide away.  either way no big deal about the table it was slightly mentioned .

    - there was zero talk about preferring clients to be present . I asked do I  need to be there his only reply was no we don’t require you to be there but ask you pay prior .

    - dan was extremely offensive right from the beginning and continuously told me my wood wasn’t pressure treated . There was no sorry no nothing . He had zero intentions in dealing with this
I had zero plans to stain my deck I hand picked out all my pressure treated wood to match. There is way more damage than  just the fence .. the stilts , privacy wall and 10 foot railing not 7  was all  stripped . Dark pressure treated wood is now mostly  all white.

    - Dan did offer to come wash the deck off .. I declined cuz I didn’t want the heavy chemicals on my property anymore nor did I want all my wood white I paid for pressure treat for a reason .

    - he said he would buy a can of stain I had no plans to stain my deck this would Intrupt my my perosnal  time . I paid Dan to clean my rv cuz between 2 jobs and a single mom time is most valuable to me

    - he said he would come stain the railing I asked him to elaborate what railing ? There’s  more than a railing here I want to know what I’m agreeing to . His response was the one you keep complaining about . I said we would continue this conversation the next evening because I have to work at 230Am.
sense than he blew it off . He said to contact him when I got back in town I did than all of a sudden he’s busy till october . The parks are closed September 30 also I don’t even see why we needed to meet up to discuss anything further sense there was many before and after pictures ..he also had the option to meet with my buisness partner while I was out of town .  Dan even Made sure he mentioned that he s doing the owner of the rv parks house . Which I felt was some kind of a threat.

I did make 2 posts on social media one in the private trailer group and one on a small community page .. there is  no law against that defaming is lying I have no lies to tell I can back up anything I have said . Also to add with making these posts I found that I am not the only one he failed to give proper directions too and I’m not the only one that got their deck damaged .

I made it clear to Dan I was not after money. I requested this be fixed at no out of pocket expense for me or lost personal time .
If you  don’t have time to deal with me yes refund me and I’ll pay someone to fix it my self and me and you be done with each other .
I also made it clear I wasn’t asking for him to come tomorrow kind of thing I just want an agreement and an idea when this can be fixed .

I also told Dan I believe this was a mistake I think his concentration was to potent this day. But you failed me as a customer ; both communication , diligence and protecting my  property from damages . I feel he never had any intentions to fix this issue because he never seen an issue here to begin with . As I mentioned there was no sorry no nothing just lies and non factual excuses . He keeps saying how many rvs he does u can do millions but mistakes happen you messed up on this one .

I have messages and pictures to back up anything I have said .

    Sincerely,

    Amanda Reid

everything in my statement is as it happened to to be such a new company and not take accountability for  damages , making a mistake than accusing a customer of just wanting a free rv cleaning is completely unprofessional ! it is clear there will be no resolution here so I will continue to my formal complaint registered on the BBB!

I am rejecting this response because:
