    Auction sale online April 4th and 5th (Antique Toy, Oil and Gas.

    The auctioneer shipped my winning items (19) in two boxes without any wrap around the items (bubble wrap or even paper) to protect them from damaging each other as they were shipped from AB to ON. The auction company also charged me $341.25 to ship these two boxes. When I asked for a breakdown of the cost and handling I was told after many emails that they made an error and were refunding me $148.31. That leaves about $200 for shipping costs and handling etc. That seemed more reasonable. To date that refund has not arrived and now the damaged caused due to no one caring for the items is significant. Heavy chaffing/scratching of toy on toy scaring paint jobs (x9). There were 5 toys which were broken in some way in the group also. Some were small issues and one was a total loss as bent so bad it could not be fixed.

    I would like a refund for the lost toys and damages (which was 100% preventable if wrapped with paper or bubble wrap.

    This is a response from Auction Place ltd regarding Claim No. ******** of Mr. ***** ********.

    We are not able to respond the way you requested because, Mr. ******** has send us an e-mail with threats in it (see attachment). and  we can't upload all the files, regarding the pictures of the lots he purchased. 

    Regarding the threats and demands of Mr. ********** we're uncomfortable in even responding this way.

     

    We also put in one of the attachments our Terms and Conditions of every Auction.

    Mr. ******** needs to agree to these Terms and Conditions before he can register at our Auction.

    For this particular Auction we scheduled a viewing on Sun. March 31 from 11-4, so people could inspect the items.

    As you can see in the attached files, we take a lot of pictures of every item.

     

    Mr.******** requested Shipping for all his purchases.

    Although we brought all the items for him back to Ponoka, unloaded, sorted, package, bring it to Post Office, we charged him $358.31

    After 2 emails with Mr. ********,we realized we made a mistake regarding this amount and gave Mr. ******** a refund of $148.25 on May 1 2024

    I am rejecting this response because:
    The shipping error was corrected and a refund for the "error" as noted was corrected so this aspect is acceptable and can be closed. 
    The damages caused due to lack of packing or care in packing as per all items into 2 boxes (19 loose items) rubbed and chaffed and broke items as identified and pictures sent directly to Auction Place Ltd.  We have requested a partial refund of $750 for these damages to which the auction company has not acknowledged . *** **** ***** *** **** **** ** **** ****  ** ****  
    Lot numbers damaged are:
    303 - heavy chaffing
    336 - broken steering wheel
    367 - broken windup wheel
    413 - heavy chaffing to cab and trailer both
    416 - bent broken attachment for loader/bucket
    692 - heavy scratching and chaffing 
    708 - heavy chaffing, broken stakes on bed of truck
    714 - heavy chaffing
    813 - toy totally crushed and fully apart in box 
    There are more damages but these noted are the worst.
    The above pictures were some of the ones shared with Auction Place Ltd with no communication regarding their poor packing causing the damages.  The items were reviewed by me in all the pictures and the damages are all not what was shown but caused and happened in shipping due to no wrapping of any kind on any of the 19 items purchased.
