On *** **** ****, I paid ********* to have ************************* of Franks Tire & Auto install a used rebuilt 700r4 transmission (******* ** ******** ************ ** ** *******) in my **** ***** 210 Sedan. When I picked the car up on *** **** I mentioned to ***** that the accelerator pedal wasn't working right as it had virtually no travel to it. ***** informed me I needed to press the pedal with the middle of my foot and that there was nothing he could do about it. I went to put gas in the car and noticed the speedometer was not working. I took it back to ***** the same day and he pulled the speedo gear which was stripped. I also informed him that the car wasn't shifting properly so he took me for a test drive where he proceeded to drive my car like a race car, which did not impress me as it didn't demonstrate how the car performs under normal driving conditions. ***** said he had a hard time trying to get the car to shift properly and said it was working fine. I disagreed. He had to order a new part for the speedo so I took the car home. I parked the car in my garage and went on holidays. When I got back I saw a huge puddle of transmission fluid on my garage floor under the car. On *** **** the car was towed to ******** ************ who informed me that they could not adjust the shifting due to the lack of travel of the accelerator pedal. They fixed the leak and installed the new speedo gear and informed me that my engine was leaking oil. After I fixed the engine oil leak *** ********* **** ** ***** ******** I sent an email to ***** on **** **** inquiring about fixing the travel on the accelerator pedal. He informed me that it would not be fixed under warranty. The accelerator pedal was working properly when I took the car to him initially. My two main issues are:1. This car should never have been released to me as complete with the way the pedal was working 2. With the amount I paid for this car it should be working perfectly and any defects covered under warranty
