We initially agreed to an install with Northern Power. They did not show to the first 2 installation appointment. They finally showed up to the 3rd appointment but changed the design on us without our permission. The new design is less efficient than the design we purchased. They did not finish. They left the solar panels in our garage. We started looking into their company history as there have been many miscommunications They have a terrible history and have had litigation against them. They kept calling us to say the installation was complete and to provide payment even though the installation was not complete. We put the project on hold with them. They agreed to the hold. Yesterday, they showed up without permission. Brought new panels and installed them anyway. We called the company to ask them to leave our property. The manager **** said he forgot to tell the crew to leave. They were at our house all day. We told the kids not to let them in the house or garage. They left when they found out we were coming home from work. Now the company is calling us again and saying the installation is complete and requesting payment again. The installation is not complete. The inverter has not been installed. The system is not working. They have forced the installation on us. We dont know what to do. They are trying to force payment again. We need help to deal with them. We havent paid for anything yet and the other solar panels are still sitting in our garage.

I began the process of obtaining solar panels on my home. The sales person was very kind, knowledgeable, and personable. We obtained the necessary financing and began the authorization process with the company (we were told it was Fluent Solar, but that later changed to Northern Power). During the final work authorization phase, I started to question their operations and called requesting clarification. The sales person I spoke to on the phone was unable to address any of my concerns and ended up mocking me for wishing to cancel based on what others say. I was quite insulted, but felt that I had made the right decision by cancelling before the project began. The company is now sending me various emails and text messages stating that I owe them $1,500 as a cancellation fee. When I call them back in an attempt to discuss the matter, they tell me that the person/department that I need to speak to is unavailable and will get back to me. No one has returned my calls, but their threatening emails continue.
