    ***** was supposed to complete a pantry remodel. He asked for a deposit for some supplies and stated he would come take measurements. He then texted saying he was running late and would come later.Then stated it was too late and will come mid.morning next day to start project. He then never showed, never answered phone calls. Has not returned the deposit.

    I was given ***** ******* name via ************* on ******** for home renovation services. I contacted him on December 6th via ******** messenger, with details of the job and to ask if this is something he can do. He then replied he was able to do it and we discussed in further detail the details of the job. I was going out of the country so I stated I would contact him in a week or so to confirm start date. I contacted him on December 27th to confirm start date on the new year. He responded When would be good for you? Also just for a small deposit for materials and hold start date what is easier for you cash or e-transfer. I stated anytime after January 1st. I then sent him $150 deposit. He then kept saying he was coming by but then would state he was out of town and will come the next day. Then the next day he would say he was at a job on other end of town and would start the next day. He then stopped replying and answering any calls. I requested the money back via a bank request and that was denied and found out that the number he gave me was to another person and they also have a police report on him the tracking number is T25000118. They stated he said his bank was comprised and couldn't accept cash. So he got them to give him the cash I sent. He has only been responding to my husband stating he is going to drop the money off, but keeps making excuses. We have not gotten the money back. He also has reports against him with BBB for RCD Construction LTD his company. This seems to be a common issue with ***** *******. My police tracking number is TS25000162

    ***** name and phone number was provided by a coworker. 05/01/2023. ***** ******* of RCD construction was contacted to see if he would be interested in completing a basement renovation. Renovation included a bedroom and a bathroom. From studs to finishing. ***** checked out job and gave quote on May 12. He advised average time for completing this sort of job would be 3-4 weeks. Quote was for $14 800 labor and materials. May 13 numerous text messages back and forth and I asked if he wanted a deposit. First $1000.00 was E-transferred to him. May 14 we asked if he would be pulling permits and he said no as 1/2 of our basement was already done so it would not be a big deal. We elected to proceed and I would have a Master Electrician friend of mine check out the electrical once ***** completed it. May 18th we checked in with him to see when he was actually going to show up and start. May 21 checked in with him and no reply. May 22nd he advised he was out of town and apologized for ghosting. Requested more funds. May 23rd $1500.00 was E-transferred. May 26th he texted and requested more money to order bathroom materials. $1000.00 E-transferred. May 27th he suggested he would come by and do some work and he never showed up but requested he needed money to order Drywall etc. $1500.00. May 28th ghosting started. 5 text messages sent over numerous days. We then contacted Service Alberta and put in a complaint. They advised to send a termination text and request funds be refunded within 3 weeks then file complaint. No reply. June 24th formal complaint filed with Service Alberta. We have approx. 15 studs installed in basement and we are out $5000.00. Upon further investigation we have discovered that this is not the first time he has ghosted people from a job. Review completed on *** and now Complaint filed. We have all E-transfer documents and all texts and pictures. Videos of basement before and after what little work was completed.
