    Contacted business for a quote to install a driveway gate and chain link fencing October 2021. Business was conducted over the phone and email with **** **********. After a couple of different estimates, November 10, 2021 we agreed on an estimate for $13,634.25. I was informed the next steps would be to provide a ~50% deposit via Interac transfers. Made 2 transfers of $3,000 (price before GST) due to daily limit. **** accepted the deposit amount and would start the work. No goods or services have ever been received. Many phone calls and emails to inquire when the gate may be installed over the course of the year 2022. Always an excuse to why they could not make it out as promised in the previous interaction. Excuses given like supply chain issues, no workers or a worker called in sick. December 6, 2022 I made a request to have AB Gate and Fence refund the deposit. It had been over a year and the job had not even started. Several more promises to come out and perform the work came and went with no progress. No work was started so a second, more formal request for refund was made February 3, 2023 by email. After which, **** called and informed me that he "does not have the money to refund me the deposit" and "to give them a couple of weeks." My calls and messages to the business are no longer being returned. As of June 2023, it has now been 19 months since the deposit was given and 6 months since requesting the deposit back.

    I ordered electronic gates in MAY 2022, paid deposit. In September, was told if I paid in full, it ‘might’ expedite the install of my gates. ONE YEAR later, still getting promises to install gates “next week, next week, next week” Excuse after excuse!!! Today, STILL NO GATES. He took all my money with false promises. BUYER BEWARE
