Little to No communication with home owner during building process. When asked about issues from lack of communication they make up excuses and do not try to resolve the issues. Multiple features around house put together with poor craftsmanship. When asked about lack of attention to detail was told thats just how it is. And the house wasnt built near the quality of the show home. When confronting the project manager and business owner about issue I was told as the home owner Im the issue. And was hung up on.

This complaint is over the driveway we installed this past Friday.  We informed the homeowner that we plan on having the driveway installed last Tuesday April 30.  We did have the driveway fully prepped and ready to go.  However it ended up snowing Tuesday and for a couple days. We were not able to pour the concrete driveway in the snow.  We mentioned to the homeowners girl friend on Tuesday that we would be back later that week to pour the concrete driveway.  Friday morning we phone/text the homeowner if they were able to open the overhead door as this allows us to pour the driveway easier.  This is when the homeowner unfortunately got upset with us about no communication.  The homeowner yelled at our site supervisor and then emailed myself.  I did email back right away, as well as phoned the homeowner right away, all with in 2 hours of this happening.  I explained to the homeowner we can not pour in the snow and he said he understood.  He just wanted more communication of when we where pour next, in which we mentioned to his girlfriend that it would later that week which was not relayed to the homeowner.  Unfortunately that communication was not passed on.  The homeowner on the phone with me started to us vulgar words about our staff and company, i tried telling him and at that point I decided the conversation was going now where and I did not need to here these types words and hung up.

In the end we did full fill our contractual agreement in providing this homeowner their quality driveway. We did it with in the week we mentioned and only delayed a couple days do to weather.  In our contract this is a seasonal item and mentions that delays may happen due to weather outside of our control.  Also would like to not that the homeowner did pull over Friday afternoon May 3, 2024 and apologize to our site supervisor.

As to our quality of home built for the homeowner not to show home standard.  We build all our homes to the same quality whether it is a spec, show home, custom home.

There were a few items that did need to be repair on the house and we had all of these items fixed before before the homeowner moved in and or just after.

We have one outstanding item that was brought to my attention after the homeowner moved in about his fireplace that seems to be where the homeowner talks about quality.  This is a communication between our site supervisor and homeowner.  Homeowner mentioned he was going to do his own tile on the fireplace wall.  Our site supervisor mentioned he can leave some drywall back on either side of the fireplace so that the homeowner can move the electric fireplace out to the depth of tile or material easily when the homeowner goes to do this work.  This is a communication we took the wrong way unfortunately and left drywall out about 1" either side for the homeowner so it look unfinished.  We have told the homeowner we will fix this issue.  We have set a date this week with the homeowner, but  homeowner said don't worry about it he will look after it as he won't be home.  We don't mind setting other dates to get this done.

All in all we have delivered the house homeowner signed an agreement for, and have fixed all repairs to date, except the one mentioned above, and that we agreed to fix and now working getting seasonal work complete.  We have delivered to date a quality home and we are providing the warranty and service on this home.

We have front stairs, sod and parging still to do on this house, but need the driveway in (no done) before we complete these items and again weather dependent.

Moving forward with this homeowner we will not deal with or tell his girlfriend any plans or details.  We will make sure to let the homeowner know through email and text when we are coming to finish of the last of the seasonal work, and also if there are any delays.
