Bought a car from them, less than 4 months later my engine is seized. I put in roughly 9000km which is perfectly within range, on the though on the high end, for a synthetic oil as per the owners manual recommendation. (I assumed as the dealership said they replaced the oil it was at least to the manual’s standard for the car) I got a check engine light, proceeded to check my car thinking it must be something small as i hadn’t had it long and it was inspected prior to purchase. However I when I started and checked my fluids I discovered my oil was empty, I followed up by putting in oil and bringing it back up to the level. I called and booked my car into an auto shop in the city but it died on the side of the road within the week before I got to the appointment. (I needed to get to work and had no other option) all said, the dealership is blaming me for not getting the engine light checked soon enough. The first auto shop I had look at it told me the oil was leaking into my cylinders and burning up from there, potentially a seal issue, which is one of the parts they replaced and I was told I had warranty on.

The Cruze purchased from us had an in-depth inspection done
prior to purchase, included in that was an oil change and some mechanical work
addressing some concerns found in the inspection process. Parts warranty was
stated to be included on the repairs completed as per the inspection for a
period of 20,000kms / 1 year, however based on the diagnosis none of those were
affected. Extended warranty was offered at time of purchase, and refused by
    client.

As per the diagnosis from shop in Edmonton, it was stated the
check engine light was on for approximately 1 month before it was actually
    looked at.
