    My stainless steel fridge was bought 3 years ago. The fridge door was coming loose so we called Appliance Repair Expert in Abbotsford BC to get a quote to see what it would cost to have them fix the fridge door. They did a service call and said that they would fix it by replacing the fridge door and that would cost approximately $600 or a cheaper way would be to put some plumbers putty on where it was loose and that would fix it. Then they asked if I still have a warranty on the fridge. I never thought of that so I looked it up while they were there and my warranty said it was valid for 4 years. So they left me an invoice to pay for the service call, however if I used them to get it fixed that amount would be deducted. The next day I called the warranty company and they denied the claim saying it was wear and tear. I tried to fight but it was denied. I then paid the invoice from Appliance Repair Expert and scheduled an appointment for them to fix the fridge door.

    The day they came to repair the fridge was later in the evening. So they took the fridge door off and put the putty on the door and set it aside for 24 hours to dry and we were told not to touch it. We did as asked and he arrived the next day to install the door back on.

    After it was installed he came to me and said the door is on and we have a problem. The door was covered in his fingerprints from the plumber's putty. I asked what he was going to do about it as that was unacceptable. He tried different things I had in my house and none of them worked. The Tech did go to pick up a product and that was tried with no success. I have been calling everyday since but they will not respond to any of my phone calls, emails or texts. When I get ahold of someone they say they will have the manger call back within 24 hours this never happens. I did talk to the manager about 3-3 1/2 weeks ago he was to call me back never did. I leave him a msg or vm everyday. No reply
