      On June 23rd, **** my vehicle was towed by Mintus towing. I was issued a violation ticket and outrageous impound fees. I paid my fees with 0 problem. When getting my vehicle out of the lot I noticed it was driving funny. Mintus towing had completely destroyed my 2 front tires due to not using the proper equipment to tow. My whole complex was covered in skid marks from my car being dragged. I contacted mintus the next day to resolve the issue and was greeted with nothing but disrespect. The way this company handled their problem was a big issue in itself. Horrible customer service. They clearly dont know how to properly tow or properly deal with their customers and should be further looked into . **** ******* *** ******** ** ** ******** ** **** ************** *********

      Hello, On 05/08/2022 my car was meant to be towed from a lot to my home. The agreed upon price was $220, when the tow truck driver showed up at my property after I got the cash from the *** he demanded $308 because "he forgot to add some charges", I got more cash from an *** not even 5 minutes away and the driver demanded $380 because I "wasted his time" even though he gave me the wrong price from the shop and that's what I budgeted for. He refused to release my vehicle and said that he is bringing it to his impound lot and adding EVEN MORE fees, which I could not afford. I had to ask for financial assistance from my family. We had to get the police involved and settled the dispute by paying what he asked for, if this is not extortion, I'm not sure what is. If you look at this "companies" ****** profile, it tells the story itself.

      The company received a call to tow a vehicle parked at a business plaza, where the vehicle owner  had no permission to do so. The vehicle was parked on the business property for over three weeks. While our company helps tow vehicles requiring repair or broken down, a part of our business is also to impound/tow vehicles in violation. It's a tough job, and someone has to do it. I have included his email messages and calls received from the complainant.  

      The complainant called to have his vehicle released and requested that it be brought to him as he didn't have insurance. The driver explained to the complainant that the company doesn't do that. Since he kept requesting, the driver offered to bring the vehicle to his residence if he agreed to pay the additional tow charges. The complainant agreed. The company doesn't tow impounded vehicles back to owners.  He made an exception to help.  I have attached a message correspondence in which the complainant provided his address and the driver informed him of the charges.  

      When the driver reached the location and asked for payment for impound invoice, including the tow charge for bringing his vehicle back, the complainant refused to do so. The driver was forced to call 911 since the complainant had become aggressive and non-compliant. A picture of the 911 call made is attached. When the police arrived, the complainant informed the police he had no money and said he was being overcharged. The driver spent an hour and had to receive police accompaniment to have the invoice paid. Even with police presence, it took an hour since the complainant was not complying and no one wanted to help him with borrowing money.  The driver lost two jobs he was supposed to attend. In the evening, the complainant called several times to the company, being very ****. With this message, I included a picture of his call log. The company's ****** profile has negative reviews from owners in parking violations and positive reviews from people who needed to be rescued. The company is in the position that it owes no refund as it has done nothing wrong.  Thank you.
