Overall, my experience with Stryker boats, in cooperation with their finance company, LMG financial, was probably one of the most unpleasant purchasing experiences to date of my life. I wanted to finance a brand new inflatable boat from striker boats, so I applied for financing through LMG financial. I was approved for financing, and was rushed through the details over the phone, and subsequently I apparently misinterpreted some of the numbers, and was never actually given a hardcopy or email of the agreement to review. Ultimately, the payment range was great right where we wanted it however, the interest rate went from 6.99% to *****% from the time I spoke to them over the phone, to the time I was in the dealership signing the papers. In addition to that LMG Financial added on an extra $5000 in charges for life insurance of all things, and additional warranty charges which were never discussed. The boat was Invoiced to me at $13,000 and change, the total cost of financing that boat overall came out to almost $33,000. Essentially, the fees and interest alone were more than the cost of the boat itself. The way the agreement was structured was more like a lease not a financing plan, And about 90% of my monthly payment was going only to service the interest, and fees, very little was actually going down towards the principal. The way the agreement with structured basically wouldve kept me in a loop of paying interest for an extremely long period of time without actually paying down the boat. I felt completely taken advantage of. I felt misled, and overall this experience has an extremely bad taste in my mouth, And even though I have now spoken to bass pro shop about buying a boat through them, and having a proper financing plan structured, it makes me sick to my stomach to even think about spending money on a boat at this point. I am disappointed, my wife is disappointed, and our three kids are disappointed. This experience sucked.

This one completely caught us off guard. This customer contacted our financing company who we use, LMG financial, arranged all his own financing, placed an order, and then came to pick up the boat. After he took delivery of the boat, He falsified statements and attempted to return the boat saying there was damage. Upon further examination and consultation with the customer, he told us about the financing which he didnt pay close attention to initially. The financing was never discussed at all with us as it is between him and the financial agent who helps the customer to purchase a boat. LMG financial sent us a copy of the recording where they told the customer numerous times that the financial rate was ***** due to his high risk status. The customer came to the shop, signed all the documents and transferred the boat trailer into his name.A day later, the boat shows up back in our yard, with no interaction, and we are out a substantial amount of money due to the customers negligence. In 18 years of business we have never had an interaction with a customer like this. It is extremely unfortunate, but we do realize that people like this exist and thats just how it goes. *****, how you handled this was absolutely horrendous.
