On 08/12/2013 I brought my ****** ***** 2015 to Mobil Express to have a routine oil change done. Upon inspection the shop recommended that I have the transmission fluid replaced. We mentioned that we were going on a road trip the next day so we said ok the shop changed the fluid. We start what was supposed to be a short 2 day, overnight visit. About an hour into our journey, the car started shuddering and losing power on the highway, was revving uncontrollably, barely moving. We had to pull over multiple times with check engine lights and other warning signals. After some difficult and scary coordination, we were in contact with the nearest ****** dealership who told us to send the car to the ****** service center via tow truck in order to avoid any further damage to the transmission. They ran diagnostics on the car and we were informed of a number of transmission errors that came up. We were told that one of the codes found with the transmission was the "Code of Death". After inspection by ******** ****** in Edmonds, Washington. They confirmed that the CVT transmission in the ****** ***** needs a special green **** fluid only provided by the dealership, also the car's computer needs to be reprogrammed after the fluid is changed to re-learn so that it can function correctly and not cause any damage to the transmission. Unfortunately, the transmission in my car had been irreparably damaged and we had to get a brand-new one ordered and installed. This led to us having to take an extended stay for about a week stranded in Seattle waiting for the parts to arrive and the car to be fixed. We have since spoken with multiple mechanics and ****** service centers and have collected documentation that supports that these issues happened due to the service done at your shop. I have suffered a great deal of trauma and stress from this ordeal and need to be compensated for the damage done to my vehicle.
