      On January 18, 2023, we sent a $2,320.00 Deposit to remove the old awning and replace it with a new one. It was clearly written on the Estimate that they asked us to send back, that the existing mesh was not to be removed as it was to be used with the new awning. It was also noted in an email. We later discovered on our own that the mesh had been removed. We had not been advised or consulted. Now we had to pay for a new mesh, which we believed was the cost itemized in the original Estimate, which stated installation was included. We wanted a black mesh.We received an invoice in April stating that the work was completed. They were supposed to provide us with proof of *** and liability insurance before doing the work and Ben had agreed to wait till after our roof repairs were done. Only *** was met. I saw the mesh hadn't been installed and asked them to do it before we'd pay them. They said we'd have to pay an extra charge as we didn't order the mesh originally. We wouldn't have needed to order it if they had followed the instructions and hadn't removed our mesh! We ordered the mesh before the installation was scheduled so they would have just had to put in the truck with the awning. I told them we weren't paying any extra charges and they should install the mesh for free because they had forgotten to install it with the awning. We got an invoice for the original $4,980.03 estimate saying the job was complete so we thought the billing was fine with everyone. We sent them a cheque for the remaining $2,660.03. When they sent us a receipt for the $2,320 pd in Jan we asked for one for the $2,660.03 pd in May. Instead, they sent us an invoice for $262.50 for mesh installation (even though they said they'd give us a discount and charge $100 less)! We never agreed to pay any extra charge! Now they say they're going to remove the mesh and charge us for that work too. We feel they shouldn't charge us anything more than what was on the Estimate.

      Hello team,

      Mis ******* quotation for fabric and mesh and we did. She hired u. we had phone conversation with her your fabric is fall apart and when we go there for removing fabric we will call you regarding your mesh see if can be use again the date we went for removal of fabric. I called  and talked to Mis ,******* on phone that her mesh extremely dirty  and has so many damages it can't be put it back agin. Also we got clear communication that we must remove the old mesh to have access to remove fabric. She told us it's ok please remove and dispose the mesh.  She asked us to hold project for serval months in our work shop after we want to schedule installation  she ask to hold on that we said to her we are sorry we don't have storage to hold on 28.5 feed awning fabric  we can hold only for one month and  if you told us at fist we hold on project and did't manufacture it . after, we install fabric on awning we letted her know that the fabric is installed on awning   she thanks us and said after inspection and satisfactory we sent rest of balance. after inspection she done she called  me why you did not install new mesh I respond her that  you did not order new mesh. she said no you forgot to install new mesh and you must install as soon as possible I don't want pigeon make a nest over there and I send full payment. We put mesh in rush and manufacture and install but we couldn't find proof that she only order the fabric not mesh when we found proof and sent to her by email and asking her for extra travel charge, reset up and re-pack she flip her tong and change the total story without any shame!

      if you read all email she doesn't have any complain about mesh at all ( 2023-06-23 ). when we requested about extra travel charges than she change the story!!

      I am rejecting this response because: They never called to ask about the mesh. They never even told me they were removing the awning skin. I discovered they were removed when I went to the premises one day. When I saw that they had been removed, I called Ben and told him that the mesh should not have been removed. That is when he made the comments about the mesh being dirty, etc. Reminder that I wanted proof of *** and liability insurance before they did any work. They provided proof of the *** coverage. However, Ben said that they were having delays with sending proof of the liability insurance because they had moved and couldn't locate the paper. (I said it should be in some computer file or they should contact the insurer.) He said the awning wasn't that high up but I said we needed proof of insurance before they did any work. He said his office would send me a copy when they got a copy of it. Since they never provided any proof, I never gave the go ahead for any work to be done, including removal of the awning and mesh, and never expected that they would do the work without providing it to me.
