  ***Art by Tay now goes by The Elegant Crumb***I placed 3 separate orders with Tay, to be picked up 3 weeks in a row. I had a bad experience with all 3 orders.First order's pick up was delayed by a day which was still fine since I had prepared to pick up days before it was needed. Second order was delayed AGAIN for various reasons. When I did get the cookies, I was disappointed with how they turned out. They did NOT look anything like the handmade cookies she advertised online, instead looking like it was poorly printed by a machine that was running low on ink.With the third order, I reminded her days before our scheduled pick up and she had no idea what I was talking about! When she "found" my order, I reiterated again that I absolutely needed it by Friday night latest since I still have to pack them up for Sunday morning event. On Thursday and Friday I contacted her multiple times with no reply. *** finally replied Friday night and told me the order would be ready on Sunday (when I said multiple times my event is Sunday morning!) Ultimately, I had a co-worker pick up the cookies on the way to the event. They were not individually packaged (as agreed when I ordered), and we could not even package them ourselves since the cookies were still hot. The cookies were supposed to have children's names on them and some where doubled while some were missed. What a huge disappointment for the children!Overall, the quality of the cookies were mediocre. All orders were delayed and it was near impossible to get in touch with Tay after you have paid for an order. I would not order from her again.

  We ordered custom grad cookies for our grade sevens at school. The kids worked hard to fundraise all year for the cookies. We were supposed to receive the cookies 2 days before the event. She did not respond to our attempts to contact her to schedule a pickup. We finally received the cookies at 8 pm the night before the event. They were not even close to what we ordered. They even tried to ask for us to e-transfer additional funds for the cost of the bags they were delivered in. The kids were heartbroken and she has not responded to any requests to rectify the situation.Buyer beware.

  Cookie order not fulfilled on time, also not designed as agreed upon. Owner was impossibly communicate with on delivery day. She now renamed the business to Elegant crumbs to try to hide from all the negative reviews. She will also block clients when they ask for refunds or complain. Be aware of the new name, but same terrible owner!

  Do not purchase any classes from her. She had a class advertised for $35 (normally $120!) so I paid the fee one week ahead of the class and awaited the location details (as would be given out once attendance was approved). Three days before the class and I still hadnt heard anything, I emailed asking what was going on. The next day I receive a voicemail saying she wanted to discuss the class with me and that I should give her a call. So I did, and it of course went straight to voicemail so I left her a detailed message, then also texted the provided number. On the day of course I still awaited a response, so I texted again simply asking for a refund as I was no longer confident in this woman. Surprisingly she texted back within 5 minutes saying that a refund will take ***** days and she would check the status on the following monday (2 days after the class). Fast forward to 14 days after the class date and I text her again, asking about the status of my refund as I hadnt heard from her in 2 weeks. She says she is just coming back from A WEEK of holidays and will check in the next day. 2 days later I text again, asking why I havent been refunded yet. Suddenly I get a message with a receipt showing that a refund was processed - at that exact time, not 2 weeks prior. When questioned why this was delayed, she tells me that it is well with the ***** business day refund window and that she was away for TWO WEEKS without cell service (not sure where the extra week fit in, but anyway). When I reply telling her that my refund wont go through anymore because the card was since compromised, she neglects to respond. Is she on holidays without cell service again? Probably. So this lady still owes me my money AND continues to advertise her international classes with fake reviews all over her website and ******** page. Youre better off learning from TikTok.

  ******* from Art by Tay mentioned on ******** that a customer had cancelled an order after she had made the cookies. I felt sorry for her and offered to buy them from her. I also love cookies. She was sweet and friendly up until the point I sent her the $250 CAN she requested. Then, I never heard back from her. Repeated emails went unanswered. I never received the cookies nor a response from her. After two months of nothing, I called my bank and got my money back. That is theft and last time I checked, it is against the law. From the other reviews I am seeing here, it appears I am not the only one who she has attempted to *******.

  Buyers Beware
  To anyone looking to purchase any baked goods from Art By Tay, please beware. I hope this will prevent other families from being hurt by them as well.
  I ordered a couple of cakes and cookies for my kids’ birthday recently. I was looking forward to supporting a local home baker again, as I’ve done in the past. But because I was on a bit of a time crunch, I went ahead and booked with them quickly because I just wanted to check things off my list. Everything seemed okay at first…
  But there were a few things leading up to picking up the actual baked goods that had me question whether or not I was being ******** * **** ** *** **** ** ***** *********
  Unfortunately I could not pick up the cake and cookies so, I had a friend go. I asked her for a photo so my friend would know what to pick up. She told me there was only one box with my name on it and then stopped replying and picking up my phone calls.
  After the baked goods were picked up and I counted the cookies, I realized that I was short 2 cookies plus short 2 cake toppers that I had paid extra for. Originally she said she would throw in 2 dozen cookies for free but those were nowhere to be seen either.
  I was so embarrassed and disappointed because the cakes were so poorly made and nothing was made for my son as discussed (only personalized items for my daughter). And when my friends asked me if this was what I ordered, I couldn’t even reply.

  If you were thinking of ordering from her, please be careful and be prepared you might not get the pretty cookies and cakes she posts up.
