This event coordinator scams small businesses out of money for booth fees at her events. I recently paid $200 for an event promised to be at the Abbotsford tradex. Ive put $1000 into inventory for this event. Only to find out the venue was never booked and it was all a money grab. I have other events of hers I have paid for as well and she has since blocked me from contacting her. She has done this to hundreds of other businesses. I think this is a larger issue than only myself forming a complaint. There are tens of thousands of dollars that have been misspent

This woman has never been a customer of **********************, she has been a customer of ********************** Markets, which is affiliated. This woman was a customer of an event we were co-hosting with *********************************** from Aloeterra Hemp & ********* (**************************************************************************************************), and this woman is a friend of ********'s. ******** chose to cancel the event without consultation of Gourmet Markets, and has publicly announced the intention of refunding vendors. This woman has been advised to wait until June 21st for the refund. As this woman is well aware of, ******** collected all the money for the event and holds all the money, and is the one that has to issue refunds. This woman has the ability to contact ******** for further information should she wish to do so.

I am rejecting this response because:

This has no relation to my complaint whatsoever. I do not know why you are talking about a Swiftie market.

I paid for a Christmas event and you have blocked me from all forms of contact.

    Sincerely,

    Business Response

    Date: 20/06/2024

************************* appears to be confused about what events she has registered for or received a refund for.  As she is aware the Abbotsford Tradex event she refers to in her first message is the Swifitie event which is the one where her friend *********************************** from Aloeterra Hemp & ********* (********************************************************************************************) collected the payments. The other event in December has not been canceled and is still scheduled at its advertised location at the ********************************** for 2024. If it is cancelled by us, she will receive a full refund, as she has already been advised in writing. Furthermore, there are no restrictions on her ability to communicate with us. She possesses our email address, mobile number, and even has the option to connect with us on Instagram if she desires.

I am rejecting this response because:

You have breached your contract by blocking our page on Instagram. This is unacceptable. A refund for the December market is expected as you have broken the terms of the vendor contract by cutting off the ability to be featured in vendor highlights and view pertinent information posted on Gourmet Markets social media.

    Sincerely,
